I have done nothing today. I read a little. I slept a little. I watched a few episodes of Supernatural season 4. I did manage to make it up to Target but I only bought cereal. Go figure.

However, my slug-like tendencies today were offset by the wedding the fam went to yesterday. It was in Sacramento and the drive kinda sucked. It rained. Hard. I don't so much care for the driving in the rain. Especially when it's coming down so hard you can't see the lines on the road. Yeah. Not fun.

The wedding was nice. Short, to the point and I got to see all the extended family. Nice.

So, there.

I did a bunch of bookish-type things. Because I do that sometimes.
Book #112 - Wild Desire by Lori Brighton - A fun, historical romance with a touch of the paranormal. More than a touch, actually. I liked it.
Book #113 - Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson #1) by Molly Harper - Not a bad book, but not really my cup of tea. It's that whole "humorous paranormal romances tend to try to hard" lament that I've harped on before.
Book #114 - Maggie's Mates by Bronwyn Green - A sexy threesome with black bear shifters. I didn't even know those type of shifters existed.
On My Wishlist - Random, low priced books that I want.
In My Mailbox - I was good this week. Mostly.

I'm all caught up now. Isn't that awesome!?!?
Okay. I have to start some laundry and make sure Cole's lunch is made and other exciting stuff that I don't want to overwhelm you with.
Later.

The boy is still not feeling well. Poor kid. He hasn't eaten much of anything today and he keeps taking naps. Unlike his mom, he NEVER naps. So this is huge, guys. Huge!

Since he's been bed-bound for the past couple of days, we've watched through the end of season 2 of Supernatural. I am loving it like you wouldn't believe. Oh, boys! How wonderful and stabby you are.

Okay. Book stuff:
Book #109 - The Iron Duke (Iron Seas #1) by Meljean Brook - I seriously loved the worldbuilding here. The picture Meljean Brooks paints with words is fabulous. I can see the clockworks, the automatons, the flying ships. And I loved it.

And the climactic season 2 finale is just starting to heat up. I must away!

My kiddo has an unhappy tummy. He stayed home from school yesterday and he was sent home today. Poor guy. He told me, in this pathetic little voice, "Mom, we don't have any soup." Awww. I'm sorry, wee beastie! If I had know you weren't going to be feeling well I would have stocked up on soup and crackers. *pats him on the head*

Today's commute sucked ASS. Seriously. It took me forever to get to work this morning and forever to get home this afternoon. Meanwhile, when I left, my BRAND NEW computer was being set up. For those of you that haven't been following my moaning and wailing on Twitter, I've been without a computer at work since last Thursday. I literally have nothing to do without a computer except answer phones and make copies. It made for a very long Saturday. The only silver lining is that I can read a shitload of books without the distraction of the internet at work. Awesome, yet I'll still be mighty pleased to have my computer back.

The downside of all this is that we lost our entire database of tenants. Yikes. Over the next few weeks we're going to have to re-input all the tenant information. It'll be like 260 apartments are being newly rented all at once.

Yes, I might go insane at some point.

And on that note... Books!
Book #108 - Moon Called (Mercy Thompson #1) by Patricia Briggs - There was a lot of stuff I liked about this book and I'm completely looking forward to reading the others in the series.
Teaser Tuesday (03/15/11) - Steampunkery on the high seas, mystery & mayhem, and a shapeshifting car mechanic.

I'm nearly done with The Iron Duke and I'm pretty much loving it.

Alright. I have to wake the boy enough to whisk him off to his own bed. Poor guy.
Later.

PS: I've finished Supernatural season 1 and I'm a couple of episodes into season 2. I forgot how much I liked these early episodes.

OMG! This time change is kicking my ass, but probably not the way you think. My problem is that I wasn't feeling well yesterday and I ended up sleeping off and on all day. When evening rolled around I wasn't tired. At all. So of course I stayed up way too late and had to get up way early and... blargh!

The good news, I didn't sleep all day today so I don't think I'll be drooling on myself tomorrow. On the other hand, one never knows.

And on someone else's hand, Cole was home with a tummy ache today and we watched many, many episodes of Supernatural season 1. Seriously, like, 15 or something. I think the TV was on all day today. I never have the TV on during the day. Come to think of it, I rarely have the TV on at night either.

Interesting.

Okay. Books.
Book #106 - Wired by Liz Maverick - Twisty and fun with a little bit of the sexy.
Book #107 - Stopping Time (Wicked Lovely #2.5) by Melissa Marr - A dark look at my favorite Fae's life after the end of book 2. Nice.

Okay. I'm off to make sure Cole's ready for bed.
Later.

Holy Mother of Pearl! I have too many shows to watch on Thursday night. Too.Many. I think I'm going to have to save Fringe (which has been surprisingly engaging lately) and Supernatural for tomorrow. I really want to watch SPN tonight but then I think that I'm a little on the tired side and I won't be able to give it the attention it deserves. Thus, tomorrow.

I know that it's no secret that I take a nap every day. Yes, every day I take a nap. Lately I've been falling asleep so heavily during my nap that I'm all crazy disoriented when I wake up. Plus, my nap starting time seems to be creeping up more and more. I used to lie down around noon, now it's 10:30. Not 10:30 every day or anything, but more often than it used to be. Shoot, pretty soon I'm going to just not get up in the morning. I'll just combine my sleeping time with my nap time and sleep until 1 in the afternoon. No, that won't happen. I have to get the kiddies off to school. Whew! I was getting a little worried about myself there.

Yes, I sleep a lot. And that gianormous cup of coffee I drank a while ago isn't really doing anything to keep me up. I mean, I could go to bed now. Well, after I make a nest of blankets for my Ruby Roo to sleep in. She's such a cute, snoring, little bundle of fur.

Hmm. That's about all I have to say.

I thought I'd start out the new year by finishing my book ...

Book #1 - Malice by Chris Wooding - I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It sounded good. The cover is really cool. But those things don't mean squat if the writing falls flat. I'm pleased to say that isn't the case here. Malice was creepy. It crawled and chittered and grew as you saw more and more of this twisted world. The story had enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Plus, it gave that extra little dollop of plot that pushed the book from being a one-storyline wonder into something big and grand. I want to know what's going to happen to these kids. I want to know how they're going to get out of their predicament. The revelation about Kady and her time in San Francisco took me by surprise.

The plot? Rumors are whispered about the comic Malice. Rumors of a ritual that takes those that perform it into the comic itself. Following a trail of missing children, Kady and Seth find that the rumors are true and that escaping Malice is even harder than getting in. I'm pretty darn excited to get my hands on the second book in the series. There are so many things I want answered. Arrgh. The official website says it will be out in 2010. Nice.

Since it's a new year and all that I was looking back on my reading resolution for 2009. I wanted to read 100 books. I did that. I read 109. I finished my last one on December 15th. That's 2+ weeks that I didn't finish any books. Hmmph. I'm sticking with 100 books again. That's such a shiny number. It makes me happy.

I also like to mention that if I reach back in my (dusty) memory all the way to 2008 I can admit that I didn't write anything (non-journal, that is) at all that year. Damn me and my nervous breakdown. Quitting my job and being an unemployed slacker did lead me to write a bit in 2009. It's still not up to the level that I'd like it to be, but I can work on that. However, I feel like my journal writing and movie reviews have really picked up this last year. Still, I signed up for NaNoWriMo and cranked out 1000 words on an original piece. I wrote another chapter on my Supernatural fanfic (which I started in 2007, I think). Well, a chapter plus part of another chapter. I should really finish that.

Not great, but still totally workable. Read and write. And hopefully find some sort of job that pays me to do both. Or at least one of those. :)

There you have it. Books, resolutions and ramblings about writing. All the good things in life.
Okay. I'm out. I have nothing to do. I might have to start another book. Yes!

PS- I totally did a monthly and yearly wrap-up for [livejournal.com profile] blabapalooza. I wrote up a shitload of movie reviews over a 2 month period. Rock on!

Well, Christmas has come and gone for another year. We had a good time today. There was much present unwrapping (Books!) and a satisfactory amount of food. Plus, there was the family. My sister is visiting from Hawaii with her two boys. Hailey's in seventh heaven having someone her age to play with. However, all she wants to do is carry her new Guinea Pig around. That's fine, I guess, except that I'm allergic to Guinea Pigs. Awesome. I get the whole itchy eyes thing and that's just not that fun. She named the little guy Dean. As in Dean Winchester. Ha! It was going to be either Dean or Sam and she ended up going with Dean. Nice, huh? I'm starting my own fandom revolution.

Well, I'm tired. I've been staying up way too late and getting up far too early. I'm going to go to bed soon and curl up with my new pillow. I'm enamoured of the fact that this pillow isn't flat. *is giddy* It's fantastic.

Off to sleepy time.

I'm going to lunch with one of my old work friends later today, so I thought I'd better get on the ball this morning and do my thing. Plus, [livejournal.com profile] oddmonster is getting ready to use her big voice on me if I don't do the promised icon meme. :)

First off:
Book #109 - The High King (The Chronicles of Prydain - Book 5) by Lloyd Alexander - This was a very satisfying ending to the series. There was much action and sword fighting and epic battles. The main character, Taran, had a lot of growth from the first book to the last. Of course it ended how I thought it would end. But I was okay with that. Definitely worth a read if you can get past the tongue twisting Welsh names.

I have one more book that I'd like to get read before the end of the year, but nothing else is pressing on me insistently.

Secondly:
[livejournal.com profile] oddmonster gave me some icons to talk about.
Here goes )

This morning I was taking a shower and Hailey and Ruby were sitting in the bathroom talking to me (which is why I usually shower when no one's home ... PRIVACY!) and we had a long discussion about what color our snot currently is. We've both progressed to clear if anyone really needs to know. But we're both still pretty stuffed up. Yes, Hailey caught my cold. She informed me (quite snootily, might I add) that I "gave her a stuffy nose!" Nice.

I think I've written a long enough post for the day. I've covered all the topics I was planning on covering and now I can move on to my next thing.

Like a dumbass, I had to mention yesterday that I hadn't had a cold yet since the weather had turned. Guess what? I have a cold. Stuffy nose, snotty grossness and a sore throat that feels a bit like broken glass. Wonderful. That'll teach me. I'm not sure what it'll teach me, but I'm sure I'll get something out of all this.

To top it off, today has been declared (by Heather and myself) as "Get our Christmas shopping done" day. Awesome. I'd best stock my pockets with tissues while I'm thinking about it.

In Lost news, I'm up to episode ... actually, I have no idea. I think the last one I watched was the one with Boone and Shannon (Hearts and Minds, maybe) but I might have watched one more after that. I do love that Season Play option on the discs. It keeps track of where I am for me! LOVE!

For those that like themselves a little Supernatural fic, [livejournal.com profile] tlace has posted a lovely Sam/Cara piece over at [livejournal.com profile] just_scribbles. I had the good fortune to read the first few chapters a while back in beta and it's a very good story.

Alright. I have things to do. Which mostly involve blowing my nose. And killing vampires. :)

My Thursday TV viewing is KILLING me. I just have too much going on. Too much. And and and ... there was no preview for a new Vampire Diaries. I realize they're going to be marathoning all the eps one week but when do we get neeeewwwwww ones??? When? Tell me. I must know. Because I kinda think I love that show just a little bit and it might have everything to do with how Ian Somerhalder isn't Boone and he has very pretty eyes. It might also be because I'm a little bit in love with Elena's hair. There might also be some "Ohmigod, did you see that tattoo on Stefan's bulging bicep???" I'm just saying.

In news that isn't about bulging biceps - and it's so sad that I have to write that - I taught Bailey how to sit on command today. Now I just hope she remembers it tomorrow. *blink blink* Bailey. Sit. Sit. Bailey. Sit. I think I said that about a million times. Maybe a million and two. But she was doing it pretty consistently at the end. We'll see.

The kids are on minimum day this week for conferences and they're getting home way too early. 12:30, people. Twelve freaking thirty. I can't even get a nap in because it's just too early. This is terrible. I keep telling myself that it's just one more day. One more day. One more day. In the few pitiful hours I have to myself in the morning I've been working on my NaNoWriMo novel. Not that it's a novel at this point. It's more of a collection of pages that might eventually tie together. If the gods and planets align. And if the kids were in school longer. Dang it. But I'm working on it. That's the important thing you should be taking away from this rambling diatribe. I'm working on it.

I'm off to watch Supernatural and then bed. In that order. Mostly because if I go to bed first I'll be watching SPN tomorrow and I want to watch it tonight. Take that!
I'm out.

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 10:18 pm
I've sat down twice to write out this journal and become distracted both times. Three's a lucky number. Right? Anyone?

I finished a book.
Book #108 - The Penderwicks on Gardam Street by Jeanne Birdsall - This is the sequel ... no, more like a continuation or followup to The Penderwicks. Their glorious summer vacation is over and the girls and their father are back home on Gardam Street. Faced with the idea that their beloved, widowed father is going to start dating again (at the request of their mother who didn't want him alone after she died), the girls hatch a plan to set him up on the most hideous blind dates they can manage to find. The results are predictably disastrous. This story is just... sweet. It's sweet and a little sad and it somehow captures all those little things about childhood that we've forgotten. I would definitely read both books again.

I've caught up on all my shows now since I just finished last week's Supernatural. I really liked the episode. There was something ridiculously fun about seeing all those versions of Sam and Dean. Added bonus for "How can you jump the shark if you never come down?" Hilarious!

Now I'm watching 30 Days of Night. Again. I did not like this movie the first time I saw it. I thought it was stupid and incoherent and now I'm thinking that maybe I was a little premature in my assessment. On the other hand, I'm not really watching the movie at the moment since it's on behind me so maybe it wasn't premature. :/

And finally ... Ruby and Bailey played hard for nearly 30 minutes earlier and then both of them climbed up on the bed (actually I had to lift Ruby up because she's just a little thing) and conked out. Like, practically comatose. Every once in a while, Bailey raises her head and makes sure I haven't abandoned her for the pup but other than that ... they are in the exhausted sleep of a dog who has played hard. Oh, and Ruby snores. It's very cute on a 7 pound dog.

I'm done.

I'm having a weird morning already. I'm completely unmotivated to get things done ... well, that's not entirely true. I'm unmotivated to get the stuff done that needs to get done around the house. The other stuff, the stuff that's fun-ish and wastes my time ... that's already done for the day. Go figure. I did manage to get a load of laundry in the wash, but everything else is just falling by the wayside. Clean the bathroom/vacuum/etc ... no, thanks.

Whatever. I'm sure my life or the house or anything else won't fall apart if I don't jump on all that stuff right this minute.

I think my sisters and I are going to go Christmas shopping tomorrow. Speaking of shopping, Amazon has all the seasons of Doctor Who on sale for half off today only. That knocks the price down to a little over $30. Umm ... I'm so tempted. I know I shouldn't spend the money, but $30 vs. $60 ... that's a big difference. I'm only missing season 3 and 4. That's a buy one get one free deal. Do you see my dilemma? Arrgh!

I'm cold. It's possibly time for me to shut my window for the cold season. Is it ridiculous to wrap yourself in blankets while the window's open? Part of me likes the crispness and part of me doesn't like how chilled my fingers get. I'm a mass of contradictions right now. A mass.

Randomly, Supernatural was preempted last night because of the 49ers game. They pushed Vampire Diaries to 9 and SPN to Saturday at 8. Weird. Thank goodness for downloads.

You know, I have nothing else to say. That doesn't happen too often. Also, my typing blows this morning. You'd think the keyboard spontaneously rearranged itself last night. But no. It's just me.

Huh. I'm really behind on comments. Whoops. Not that I'm planning on doing anything about it at the moment, I just thought I'd make that observation.

Randomly, Hailey and Heather gave me a Snuggie for my birthday. At first I was like, "umm ... thanks?" Now I'm totally on board. It keeps your arms warm while you're doing stuff like typing and reading and napping. Without all the hassle of wrapping a blanket around you just so and hoping it won't shift suddenly and expose you to the cold. Snuggie ... it's your friend. A nice warm friend that wraps you up in billowing warmth. Mine's zebra printed. :D

I watched Vampire Diaries (I still refuse to use initials for this one ... VD ... Heh!) last night but not Supernatural. I'm going to try to squeeze it in before the Halloween parade up at the school. Which means that I'm going to have to get on that soon.

And in other fandom news, I'm almost halfway through season 3 of Roswell. Before this re-watch I kept thinking that season 2 was the weakest of all the seasons. I have since decided that the inclusion of Jesse in season 3 trumps anything in season 2. Jesse is BORING! Jesse and Isabel's storyline makes me want to sleep. Also, Michael's hair ... ehhh. I liked it better in season 2. Now he just looks shaggy. However, Max is looking pretty hot. Especially with his hot new haircut.

I'm really shallow, aren't I?

I'm done now. I totally have things to do. Things that involve the TV and my Snuggie. And rubbing my dog's belly.

I completely want to be sleeping right now. Boo.

I had a great Halloween party. Thanks for [livejournal.com profile] kimbrchick, [livejournal.com profile] malkovich03 and [livejournal.com profile] jenahville for humoring me and staying to eat my food and watch some movies! I ended up making baked ravioli and it was really gooooooood. I would most definitely make it again. Especially since it was incredibly easy to make. Hailey made me bob for apples and I actually managed to get one! Of course I was drenched after, but it was fun.

We watched Friday the 13th (Jared Padalecki version) and My Bloody Valentine (Jensen Ackles version). It was almost like having the Winchesters over for the party.

Also ... Butterbeer is good. So was that Blood Orange Martini. Yummers.

My throat feels a little scratchy today. I'm not thrilled by that. I have to roust Cole from his mound of Legos and get him ready for his football game. It's picture day!

I'm done.

I posted another review at [livejournal.com profile] blabapalooza last night. That's three. Three movies I've reviewed this month. I'm on a roll! Plus, I have a bunch of movies sitting on my DVR that might get their chance in the sun.

However, I didn't write on my SPN fic yesterday. I didn't even open up the file. Bad me. I'll be better today. I think. I do have a bit of a full day ahead of me. A Costco run with my mom to pick up the fixings for my birthday dinner. And other stuff. None of which I can remember at the moment. Nice.

I realized this morning that Cole's first flag football game is this Sunday. Not next Sunday as I originally thought. Oops. It's a good thing the director of the league sends out weekly emails or we'd be missing that first one.

I'm going to tack this last thought on at the end of the post so that maybe people won't read it and think I'm crazy. Are you ready for this? I've never cared for the Where the Wild Things Are book. Although the movie looks ... interesting, I really have no overwhelming urge to see it. I'll probably have my mom credentials revoked or something now, but it's the truth. I never cared for the book. I can't pinpoint why. It's just not something that captures my fancy.

See? Nobody read that.

The rains have arrived!

I woke up this morning to extremely wet streets. Bailey took one look out the door when I went to take her out this morning and she turned and tried to walk the other way. I had to pick her up and carry her under my jacket to the grass so that she could do the fastest pee in the history of dogs. We ran back home. I also got an ocean of water in my shoe. I had to switch shoes to take Cole to school because the first pair were just too damn wet.

I love the rain.

Enough about the awesome weather. I've been working on this SPN fic, as I've mentioned repeatedly. I think I'm going to break it into chapters because I've reached a natural break in the story that feels like a chapter break. I'm also running through the mental notes I have for the rest of the story and I'm pretty sure that it would be way too big if I didn't break it up. I've never written a chaptered fic before. I kinda like it.

The point of this is that I think I've finished the chapter I was working on. I have Dean where I want him to be and now I have to transition him into the next part. Once I do a re-read or three and clean up some of the messier writing, I'll post it. Whether you want me to or not.

Mwahahahahaha.

I'm done. I've got things to do that don't AT ALL involve staring out the window at the driving rain.
Wish me puddles!

People. I got up early so that I could get in both my daily journal and my daily non-journal writing before the wackiness that is today begins.

Just so you can see how jam packed my day is ...
I have to pick up Cole by 8 from his dad's so that we can be down in Gilroy by 9 for Hailey's soccer game. After the game, we're meeting the extended family back at our house so that we can head over to the pumpkin patch en masse. Then, we come back home and have a late lunch for Heather's birthday (which is today). We're going to do the whole present opening thing and all the other stuff that goes along with birthdays. Somewhere between the pumpkin patch and lunch, I have to bake two batches of brownies because that's what H wanted in lieu of a cake. Warm brownies with vanilla ice cream on top. Crowned with a goodly dollop of chocolate syrup. It's kinda like a molten lava cake, but better. You know, because it's homemade.

There you have it. Lots of stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. All fun, mind you, but just one thing after the other.

I'm pleased to announce that I did get a page on my SPN fic done last night. Writing at night is a lot harder for me. I much prefer writing in the morning and relaxing with some mindless TV in the evening.

One more thing, then I have to get working on my fic. The field trip to the apple farm was FUN yesterday. Cold, but fun. I had some of the best apple cider I've ever tasted and I got to help Hailey pick apples off the tree. Awesome.

I'm off.

I have roughly half an hour until I have to be back up at Hailey and Cole's school to leave on the field trip to the apple farm with Hailey's class. What do I do with this time? Journal. Of course.

Since I have places to be and things to do, this journal will be short. In theory.

First off, I slept horribly last night. It was all jumbled dreams and constant waking. I wish that I could remember some of the stuff I was dreaming about because it was incredibly weird. I love the way the subconscious takes all these unrelated things and squishes them together while you're sleeping. It's the stuff that stories are made of.

Speaking of stories, I did my daily writing yesterday plus I ended up typing up all the stuff I'd already written on my SPN story. I like doing my first draft longhand on actual paper. It's so much easier for me to visualize when I go back and make edits. It also lets me do minor editing when I'm typing it up. Stuff that I'd marked as something that needs to be tightened up or rearranged. The initial time it goes from paper to screen seems to loosen up some of the words I'm trying to get out. I know that a lot of people compose directly on the comp, but the beginning of stories always start out on paper for me. Somewhere along the way I usually end up transitioning to writing directly onscreen, but they always start out on paper.

What can I say except that it works for me.

Okay. The clock is ticking here. I have to get the last few things together that I need and then head off to school.

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 09:52 am
My morning was sort of thrown out of whack when my mom and I made the decision last night to buy a new TV for our family room. Sadly, our three year old, 50 inch beauty has died on us for the second time. It cost us $500 to get it fixed last time and a new TV costs around $1000. It just doesn't make sense to keep shelling out money on the thing. We're going a wee bit smaller this time (not by choice, but by cost) and getting a 47". However, we are switching from Plasma to LCD. And this new one will be an Energy Star. I'm pretty sure the old one wasn't. That should help with our electricity bills. Somewhat.

The point of all this is that my usual morning routine wasn't in the cards. This is the first time I've had a chance to sit down this morning. Of course, part of that is my obsessive need to put up more Halloween decorations. Just a few more. Things that Hailey and I didn't get put up over the weekend. I pretty much think I'm done at this point. I have to admit that I've never had all my Halloween decorations out at once and I'm slightly amazed at the sheer amount of stuff I own that's Halloween themed. Yikes!

I still plan on taking pics of my awesomely decorated house, BTW. Because everybody needs to see what I've been spending crazy amounts of time working on. Word!

Once again, the point is that I'm running a bit behind this AM. I had written two solid pages on my SPN fic by this time yesterday. Today? I haven't even picked it up yet. Plus, I want to get a [livejournal.com profile] blabapalooza review done. And Cole's coming home today. Apparently he's stuck at the Dallas airport at the moment because of thunderstorms. But he'll be home today! Yay!

Oh! Oh! Oh! I finished season 4 of Supernatural last night. Yay! Season 4 was so much fun to watch again. I had forgotten quite a bit, so it was nice to revisit it. It did seem to me that a lot of groundwork was laid for season 5. Lots of little things that were dropped here and there in innocent conversation that weren't fully addressed. I'm curious to find out if I'm right about any of it.

Time to get to the writing.

Wow. I totally didn't journal yesterday. Weird. It just slipped my mind. Like a slippery thing that slips.

Not that I did a whole lot yesterday to write about. Let me think ... Hailey and I went to the craft store and bought some scrapbook stickers so she could finish up her page she gets to do about herself for school. It's a really cute thing that they do. Each kid in the class gets to be VIP for the week. They bring home a backpack on Friday with a stuffed Winnie the Pooh, a journal and an "about me" poster. You take a picture (or draw one) with you and Pooh and write a few sentences about what you did with him. Then you make up a page in the journal to look like a scrapbook. At the end of the year, all the kids will have been VIP and the teacher will have a memory book of all the kids in the class. Too cute. Seriously. So, Hailey had her pic taken on the soccer field with Pooh. We bought some soccer stickers and made dolled up the page a bit. It was pretty cool. Like, way better than some of the other pages in there.

Also, Hailey scored her first goal at her soccer game. I wasn't there for it. As you might recall, I was trapped in downtown San Jose, weeping as I circled endlessly and tried to find a street that wasn't one way. How is it that one way streets are always going the one way you don't want to go? Especially when you're already a bit frazzled from accidentally running a red light as you tried to read the freeway signs up ahead. *sigh* My directional sense sucks, people. SUCKS.

But enough about that.

Supernatural update: I have four episodes left in season 4. FOUR! What am I going to do once I finish this? Start over? Confession - I kinda already did start over. I was cleaning my room the other day and wanted something in that I didn't have to pay super close attention to. So ... I watched the first four eps of season 1. I love the Pilot (of course!) and can watch that one endlessly. The others just followed along.

Well, I'd best get back to outlining. I keep kinda putting it off. It's not the most, most exciting thing in the world to do, you know.
