Nothing else matters ...

I've been sitting here with the update journal page open for the last half hour and somehow *somehow* I got sucked into checking out all the Doctor Who/David Tennant sites I've been bookmarking ... is it a sign of complete obsession when one ignores the things that give them pleasure (such as updating one's journal) in favor of looking at/reading about/drooling over sexy aliens who live in a blue box? Don't answer that.

Now for some rambling and a general sense of disjointedness (is that a word?) -

Cobra Commander is a little bit creepy and he sounds like one of the Transformers. What? Cole's watching some GI Joe thing on TV and I watch too many cartoons.

I'm extremely tempted to join in on oxoniensis's porn battle. Except that I don't so much want to write porn as just write weird pairings with an odd prompt. I can do that. I can!

Bwahahahaha! A comparision of Doctor Who's Tenth Doctor and Firefly's Malcolm Reynolds. Brilliant! And it makes me love the two of them just a little bit more than I already do!

I have two fanvids that are mostly completed (and the Ben 10 one that Cole and I did complete!) and I think I really need to get them finished or just put them up for public consumption. How, as a creator of all things fannish, does one know when their creation is DONE?!?! When does the obsessive need to finish tweaking end? WHEN?!?!?!?!
OMG! I think I just turned into George Lucas. When and/or if I ever decide to insert Dewbacks into my previously completed works somebody needs to thwack me upside the head. Seriously.

I'm going to visit jenahville tomorrow. Woot!

Well, that three day weekend has come and gone and I don't have all that much to show for it except a shiny, new Doctor Who video (featuring the enormously sexy Ten) and an almost completed Ben 10 video that Cole and I are toiling over. Yes, I did watch a few movies (a fun rewatch of Final Fantasy and a first-time watching of Just Like Heaven, which was just sweet) and I caught a few episodes of Doctor Who (watched with jenahville because watching DW with friends is more fun than the TARDIS hurtling through space and time!).

Yes, I'm completely Doctor Who obsessed. Totally. Endlessly obsessed. In such a good way. I'm finding that I enjoy Ten over Nine (which isn't to say that I didn't like Nine because I did). Heh. I feel like I'm talking in code.

I made chocolate covered rice crispy bars. Yum.

Okay. I'm done.

I am the proud owner of a shiny, new computer! It's shiny! And new! It's so pretty it hurts and it's so fast and I'm almost ashamed to admit that this is the first computer that has ever belonged to me and only me. AND I LOVE IT! I haven't tranferred any of my files over form the other computer yet, but I did manage to get a wireless router installed by myself and somehow I didn't blow up the computer when I put the little card in that lets my comp pick up the wireless signal (whatever it's called) and I have my own computer. I'm downloading episodes of Supernatural right this moment and they're going to take less than a million hours to finish. Oh.my.gods. Best day ever!

I kinda lost the thread of what I was trying to say up there, so I'll start fresh. I "borrowed" kimbrchick yesterday and the two of us jaunted over to jenahville's house where we made this lovely little Supernatural vid. We're all fairly new at vidding (Jenn's made one before, Kim and I have only dreamed of it) but I think it's turned out fabulously. I'm going to direct you to Jenn's LJ for the actual vid since it's on her server at the mo and she did most of the work. :) But, GO! Watch. Leave comments.
