I made a new Farscape wall yesterday. It's very light and bright. I do like it and it looks pretty decent on my monitor, but I'm not sure how it will look on other monitors.

Things that are ...
Farscape season 1 - I'm watching episode 12 (Rhapsody in Blue) and I find it absolutely lovely to watch. The colors, the camera work, the stories. Knowing how much all the characters are going to grow is such a thrill. I'm so happy I decided to rewatch this show!

The X-Files season 8 - I have 4 episodes left and Oh.My.Gods! it's so much better than I was expecting. I thought ... No Mulder! No way! But it's good. It's really, really good. I'm not sure if I'm going to take a break before starting the next season (My shiny copy of Doctor Who is waiting patiently by the TV) or just barrel through.

I had plans to see Pirates of the Caribbean with Jenn, Deb and Kim tomorrow but I have no idea what time I'll be able to get off work. This does not make me happy. Grr. I guess I'll have to make my own rules. Because the normal rules aren't working for me.

I have to urge to make art, but that urge is overshadowed by the urge to finish XF. What to do? Okay, I'll watch Mulder and Scully. *g*

I'm out.

I have a shiny copy of Doctor Who series 1. Of course, I had to go to two Best Buys to find it, but I have it! It's ... yummy. The best part of purchasing said DVD was that it only cost me $6.48 due to all the reward certificates I had accrued (from the purchase of my computer, mostly).

Yay!

The fam made the decision not to go out to watch fireworks which was something of a relief for me. I end up getting a little wiggy between the crowds and the traffic and Cole DID get to see fireworks last night while I was watching many episodes of The X-Files. *squeak, squeak* In the end, he's not really missing out. Is he?

In the world of fandom, I'm zipping my way through XF and Farscape. Also, my grandma borrowed a whole bunch of DVDs from me today because (in her words) "there's nothing on TV during the summer". I second that. I had to dig through all my DVDs to come up with something that wasn't "supernatural". Apparently, grandma doesn't like zombies. Go figure.

I have to work tomorrow. Boo.

I have partied. I have eaten. I am tired.
Cole was making me help him put some of his Legos together, but sitting on the floor hunched over searching for tiny Lego pieces makes my back hurt after a while. Imagine that. Therefore, I have stepped away to journal. Yay!

I'm not really looking forward to this work week. However, Friday has some possibilities because [livejournal.com profile] kimbrchick, [livejournal.com profile] jenahville, [livejournal.com profile] debalita and I are planning to see Pirates. (Kim and I are going to sneak out of our respective works early ... HEE!) I've also already planned a second viewing of Pirates with [livejournal.com profile] malkovich03 because the original PotC was the first movie we ever saw together. Good times. Good times.

My Farscape watching is going just swimmingly. Episode 8 is winding down as I type. On The X-Files front, I've watched through episode 8 of season 8 and am finding it quite fun. Dark, but fun.

I'm tired. And I downloaded a new moodtheme that I'd really like to put up. I'm just sayin'.
Toodles.

Happy Birthday, [livejournal.com profile] heather13!

Oh.my.gods. Such drama at the bank today. I'm just in awe of what some people will do. I'm talking about employees here, not customers. I can't believe how incredibly IMMATURE some people can be. However, it's all over now. The person causing all the mayhem is gone. Out of the blue. Just up and decided that she couldn't work there anymore and left. Okay. It'll make my job easier, so who am I to complain?

Cole's birthday party is tomorrow. I have to get up early and shower and put up streamers outside and sweep the backyard and go to Costco to pick up the cake and make seven layer bean dip and order pizza. Cole's dad bought a giant "super slide" for tomorrow. It's huge. Huge. Like, 8 feet tall. FUN! I'm actually excited about it since I have fun on the Slip n' Slide and this is even MORE. more mmore more.

On the fandom front, I've watched through episodes six on both Farscape season 1 and The X-Files season 8. Super awesome!

I'm out. I have to get an early start tomorrow.

I went back to work today. *nods* It sucked. I had a class downtown from 9-1 (no big deal because driving downtown doesn't scare me anymore!) and then I went straight to the branch and didn't have lunch because I had things to do! Somehow the two bankers who were trading off opening while I was gone both showed up early today and both had to leave early and I HAD TO STAY LATE. Suck.

One good thing that happened ... one of my tellers decided that he was going to get a taco around 4:30 because he was hungry. I made him get me one and it was sooooo good that I made him go and get me a second one. Yum. Maybe it was just because I'd only had a scone all day, but those were the best two tacos I've ever eaten.

Ever.

Speaking of something completely different - I've watched through half of episode 5 (Back and Back and Back to the Future) of Farscape season 1. [livejournal.com profile] jenahville, you rock for making me watch this again!

I'm tired.
Toodles.

A happy, happy birthday to both [livejournal.com profile] jenahville and [livejournal.com profile] isabellecs!
*Because I will forget if I don't put it at the top!*

Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] jenahville, she made a lovely Aeryn/John vid that inspired me to begin rewatching Farscape. This is something I've been meaning to do for a while, life just kept getting in the way. And other shows. Lots of other shows. Do you know that I successfully hooked [livejournal.com profile] kimbrchick on Doctor Who with only two episodes? I rock! Back on topic ... So, I watched the first 2 episodes of season 1 of Farscape. *sigh* So good. I also started watching The X-Files season 8 last night. Why do I always start new shows (or whatever) the last day of my vacation? Why? I had to rearrang the DVDs in my closet so that my Farscapes are easily accessible. Geez. So much work. I need a bigger bedroom/house. That would solve some of my problems.

I'm fairly certain that I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Boo to the end of vacation.

Perhaps I'll make some art.

Huh! The internet gods are smiling down on me at the moment. Last night my internet connection mysteriously dropped and this evening it's back! Oh, happy day!

I spent the day at [livejournal.com profile] jenahville's. We made art and tried to make a video (long story there). Oh, and we watched Twister. Classic.

In fact, I may just be able to put my newest wallpaper up right now. Let me see ...
It's Farscape this time. I'm branching out.

So, that's that. And I'm off to bed.

I'm a little bored right now. We're celebrating my mom's birthday tonight (okay, it's not really tonight, it's more like late afternoon) and I'm just sitting around. Killing time. Trying not to move too much because my back is killing me. Ouch. Maybe "killing" is too strong a word. It's kinda poking me with a stick and telling me not to wiggle too much. So, I won't.

Anyway. I just bought the Stargate: Atlantis pilot because I don't think I ever saw the entire episode in order. I saw the end. I saw the beginning. I saw the end again. I saw part of the middle. Wtf? That's weird. So, I bought it. I'll watch it. I'll get that glowy, contented feeling that one gets when watching a show they enjoy.

Yesterday, Cole and I took a little roadtrip to visit [livejournal.com profile] jenahna and her son. In all honesty they only live an hour away so it wasn't really a roadtrip. Because all roadtrips end at Disneyland. Really. Still, we had a good time. We watched Blade: Trinity and most of Pirates of the Caribbean. I met (by phone) [livejournal.com profile] lady_m2835 and got to hear her 1st time reactions to season 3 of Farscape. *sigh* Now that I've finished the LotR trilogy I may start watching Farscape from beginning to end. That should make for some interesting viewings since I've also started season 2 of The X-Files AND I'm going to actively work on my writing. Snippets and snappets and anything else I can force to tumble out of my head.

FYI, I'm still on the lookout for Firefly icons and, possibly, some X-Files ones. We'll see about XF. It all depends on quality.

That is all.
