I've got some meme-age.

neversince. Kinda. I mean, I asked her to. And she did it. What?
Here are 5 things Christie associates with me. And my elaboration.
1. Dean Winchester - The prettier of the Winchester boys, Dean has that devil may care attitude that makes him fun to watch, fun to read, and fun to write. I could hear his voice very clearly in my head when I wrote my fic last year. Maybe it was the year before. He's complex and crude and he sometimes says all the wrong things. Yet ... he loves Sammy with everything in him and he'd die to protect him. That captures me.
2. Doctor Who - I never watched the original series. I got hooked on the newest incarnation. On top of that, although I liked Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor, I absolutely LOVE David Tennant as the 10th. He and Rose are my couple of choice for now and always.
3. books/reading - I remember a time a couple of years ago where I looked back at the end of the year and realized that I could count on one hand how many books I had read for the ENTIRE YEAR. I was completely disheartened by this since I love to read and can easily read a book in a day. I made a conscious effort the next year to read at least 100 books. The next year? 120. I hit both of those goals and feel better about myself as a person. However, I've bumped my goal back down to 100 because I don't want to be all crazy obsessive with my insane book reading schedule.
4. Battlestar Galactica - Oh, the show I love to dissect. So much seems to happen in every episode that I can't help but ask questions when it's done. Why? Who? What the fuck? It happens often. I love the character dynamics and the gritty, real feel of everything that happens. I love how well written the episodes are. I love how easy it is to get lost in those episodes even after a many months long hiatus.
5. Cole - My baby. The kid. The one who alternately drives me crazy and makes me so proud. He's funny and smart and he thinks he knows more Star Wars trivia than I do. He's wrong, but I let him think that half the time. He's 9 now, I guess I won't be able to call him "my baby" once he's taller than me. That's right around the corner, you know.
Cole's spending the night with his dad and yet I still have a kid hanging out in my room. Hailey decided that she wants to sleep with me tonight. Umm. Okay. Old episodes of Scooby Doo (have I mentioned that I've seen these about a million times because I have them on DVD?) are playing behind me and she's conked out on my bed. Good times, people. Good times.
As of today I have a total of 21 reviews up at
blabapalooza this month. That's a ridiculous amount. I'm going to aim for 30 in 30 days next month. Do you think I can do it? I do. I just have to make an effort to watch a reviewable movie a day. This is on top of getting my new freelance writing career going strong. Totally do-able.
I'm off to watch something that's (possibly) not animated. Maybe not, though.
Later!
