Omg! I have so much to post about.
First ... Book #88 - A Stroke of Midnight by Laurell K. Hamilton - The more I read this series the more I like it. In fact I just ordered the next 2 books so I can get a little more of my Fey fix on. Anyway. Fairies! Yay! And not sweet and playful fairies, fairies that would rip your guts out and feed them to you. Awesome.

Second -- I took my computer in to Best Buy today and it's all fixed. It was amazing. The even better thing? They didn't charge me for it. Overall, a pretty good Best Buy trip. Much better than the time I went there to pick up the Indiana Jones trilogy and they only had it in full screen. Blech.

Third ~~~ I really want to talk about Disneyland. We ended up driving down a day early and staying in this crappy ass hotel that I think might have been a breeding ground for some exotic tropical virus. Fortunately, we all made it out of there in one piece. And on Sunday we got to check in to the Disneyland Hotel. We had the most amazing room. It was a suite with a bedroom and a living room. It was huge and awesome.

The bad part about Sunday is that the park didn't open until 10:00 (although it was posted everywhere that it opened at 8:00) because they were hosting some charity walk through the park for a couple of children's hospitals in the area. We checked into the hotel at 7:30. Obviously the room wasn't ready so we were forced to hang out for a couple of hours. Once we got in to D-Land it was very fun. That was the day that the fires started however and the Santa Ana winds were a killer. They were blowing so much pollen and crap out of the trees that it felt like we were being bombarded with small projectiles. Still, it wasn't hot and it wasn't as crowded as I feared it would be so it was ended up being a good day. I was really amazed at how decidedly un-crowded it was in the evening. I guess everyone headed home early for work on Monday. It was pretty neat.

Monday we had more winds. This time it was accompanied by the lovely smell of smoke. My skin was downright gritty when we finally went back to the hotel. That was gross. I had dirt in my ears. Blech. Once again, the winds kept everything cool (although they didn't help the fire fighters with the fires) and the crowds weren't too bad.

By Tuesday my eyes were burning when I woke up in the morning. Cole and I also had an awful allergy attack from all the smoke in the air and we were up at some godawful early hour. That was Amb's last day with us (she flew home in the evening) and we spent a couple hours in Disneyland and then skipped over to California Adventure. This is the 4th or 5th time I've been to CA and it's still a completely underwhelming experience. Hailey did go on Tower of Terror with us (Cole, myself, Amb and Heather) and she loved it. Outside of a handful of rides, that park doesn't do much for me. Heck, the bulk of it are boardwalk rides and I live 45 minutes away from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk which is better than CA could ever be because it's right off the actual ocean. Oh, and I definitely need to mention that the winds had started dying down by Tuesday and it was HOT. Sweaty hot. Gross hot. Drink a frozen lemonade hot.

Wednesday and Thursday were more of the same. It was hot on Wednesday and slightly cooler on Thursday. By Wednesday we'd gone on every ride we planned on going on at least once and were just having a good time wandering around and hitting the lines that seemed short.

Cole and Hailey were marginally well behaved for the whole trip. They just pick on each other so damn much.

Okay. My brain has momentarily stopped.

There may be more later. I'm just not sure.
