Cole fell asleep last night around 6 pm. No big deal, the last couple of days had been a little crazy for him. Around 11:15 I was either on the verge of sleep or had just fallen asleep when he wakes up. I open my eyes and see ... something standing at the end of my bed. Now, I don't have any beef with my house ghost. It's not a big deal. It's there. It usually doesn't bother me. It's just not an issue for me. For the love of Zeus, though! Could it not look like a demented phantasm? That's fucking creepy. Let me try to explain ... tall, bony figure. Hunched slightly. Glowing with a faint green tinge. I'm staring at it. It's staring at me. I'm starting to get the willies. Finally, it just fades away.
Not cool. That's some creepy shit!
I'd like to blame seeing it on watching Dead Like Me, but frankly I don't think that's the case. It's acting up. I've seen it, what, like 3 times recently. Clearly seen it. I'm just glad that Cole missed that little display.
Okay. That's my story. Interesting, huh?

I wonder if the appearances of spirits are tied to your mood or something. Like, right now you're more open to seeing them. Just a thought.

I agree that you're more open to seeing things depending upon your mood. On the other hand, I'm so used to the house ghost that I've started taking him for granted. He's just there. I see him all the time. I hear him all the time. Even when I'm in a non-seeing mood.

I never thought much of it until one night my sister was over and we were up late playing "Myst" (do not ask) We decided to take a little break, she went to the bathroom to wash her face and I stayed in the office. Suddenly there was laughter. She shouts from the bathroom. "What's so funny?" And I said "That wasn't me, I thought it was you" Eeep. I have not encountered any other oddities, per se, but I am always on the look out.

Anyway. That's a cool, creepy story. I don't know the history behind the house I live in now, but it's definitely haunted. The lights turn on and off at will. You can hear laughter and music in the front bathroom. Sometimes you can hear people talking, but you can't quite make out the words. And now I'm seeing things. It's not really scary, just cool.

I'm sort of sad that the whole laughing incident is all I have of my ghost. I think he/she is shy. I'm certainly not afraid. Especially since that is only my encounter. More intrigued than anything.

Oh, wait. You already said that you wouldn't be sleeping over at my house anymore, didn't you. What with the ghostly goings on and all.

By the by, my keyboard is so clean right now I could eat off of it!
