The house we own was built in 1955. Or rather, the foundation was laid in 1955. However the house was not actually built on top of it until 1960 or so. Because the couple that were building it were killed in a car accident just after the foundation was put down.
I never thought much of it until one night my sister was over and we were up late playing "Myst" (do not ask) We decided to take a little break, she went to the bathroom to wash her face and I stayed in the office. Suddenly there was laughter. She shouts from the bathroom. "What's so funny?" And I said "That wasn't me, I thought it was you" Eeep. I have not encountered any other oddities, per se, but I am always on the look out.
