I finished my book ...
Book #6 - Percy Jackson & the Olympians Book 1: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - Cole read this book for school and it was a struggle to get him started on it, but once he got going he read it fairly quickly (for him, I mean. I read it in a couple of hours, but that's just the way I read). Now it seems like he's somewhat intrigued by Greek mythology. In fact, we're watching old episodes of Xena. I can get behind a book that makes my kid curious about things like mythology and the like.

So. In modern day New York, Percy Jackson finds out he's the son of an ancient Greek god and gets into all sorts of shenanigans trying to stop an epic war between several of the gods that could potentially destroy the seat of Western Civilization. Honestly, the book was fun. I'm looking forward to the next few books in the series and the movie.

Cole stayed home with a cough and upset stomach today. I made him read and do his homework.

I cut the bottom of my foot the other day and the damn thing hurts so much. It's ridiculous how one little cut can be such a bother.

I'm off to watch a few more minutes of TV with the boy before I pack him off to bed.
Later!

well, we average a movie a year in the theatre, so it's too early to waste our one movie lol

I can understand that. I don't hit the theaters that often either. This is kinda a special thing since Cole's admission is free and we both want to see the movie.
