Murky and overcast this morning. Rumor has it that it might rain soon. I love the rain. Especially when I'm home, hunkered down with a hot cup of something and hours to wile away.

Did I mention that my Twilight DVD shipped yesterday. I might (might) get it today. It's okay, you don't have to be jealous that Amazon loves me. If you love it, it turns out that it'll love you back.

I've been updating some of my Squidoo pages.

I've also bought the bags I'm going to use for my detergent. I did decide to go with Three Sisters. It makes more sense if I'm going to use it for things that aren't all "green". For example, I'm thinking of offering spell-casting kits. Three Sisters works slightly better with that. The only downside is that I actually have four sisters. As in, there are five of us all together. That just didn't have the same ring to it. Five Sisters. No. Three is a much more magical number.

Three Sisters it is.

Thank you to everyone who voted. My next request is going to be for someone with graphics abilities to help me translate the logo design in my head into something that doesn't look like a 3 year old drew it. I could even pay a small fee. Or I could pay in homemade detergent. Because I'm going to use the barter system for everything from now on. Do you think Target will take chickens in lieu of money? I don't have any chickens, but if I did I would totally barter them. Or maybe just their eggs.

Oh! I think that this is one of the coolest eco-friendly things I've seen lately. I want it because it's pretty and neat to look at and good for the environment, but what the hell would I actually do with it?

Wow. I wrote a lot. And it's still early. That leaves a very wide door for me to return.
Later!

Isn't it? I was even trying to plan where I could put it out in the garage. lol! That thing's huge! But it has fish which the kids would love and ... see? I'm trying to justify it again to myself.

Yeah, I voted for "Three sisters" because of that very idea. It's more open for many more topics than just "green" topics.

I don't know about the Biosphere Home Farming kit. Never underestimate the laziness of people and I don't see the average family wanting to be apart of something like that.

To be truly sustainable and "green" then communities will have to reinvent or revamp their existing setups to eliminate sprawl and open up some areas of housing per community for shared services like their own solar and wind generators, and/or their own organic farm, and/or "everything" stores.
I liked to call them "Everything" stores when I started to think about the concept myself, but Time magazine just had an article calling them "Survival" stores.
Bastards stole my idea! Granted, the way Time magazine starts to describe it I don't see people wanting the stores.
But with my idea, you can get ANYTHING you want at one place. I look at as a little like Amazon.com. Rarely anything is stored on-site and is mostly all through ordering. Then they ship it from a common warehouse and only bring JUST what is needed for the patrons of the store. The Everything store would basically be a super commercial "post office" where they will deal with the hassles of shipment and even handle return policies themselves. Only discomfort level is needing a little patience with getting certain items shipped and waiting.
Still, I rather like the idea of ordering everything I want on-line with the website associated with the store including fresh fruits and vegetables. Shipped to a local store within a day that is also within walking distance of my home. Pick it all up, prepared in grocery bags when I get there, and just walk out within a few mere minutes with the goods.
You can order anything. ANYTHING! Food, electronics, clothes, CARS, etc etc etc.
You didn't get what you want, then just return it to the store and they will refund the money to your account.
Part of the philosophy I want with the store is a liberal return policy since there is a certain problem with ordering stuff you haven't seen in person. You need to have user friendly return policies to get repeat customers who feel even more relaxed to order goods "unseen" so to speak.

But feel free to ignore me. I dream entirely WAY too much for my own good.

Your idea is actually sparking an idea in me. I'll have to think on this. I'm not sure how easily it would work. Must think.
