Book #118 - From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris - Book #8 in the Sookie Stackhouse series and the reason I read the last book twice this year. :) So, Sookie finds herself in the middle of a Were showdown and a rather unexpected coup by the King vampire from another state. Quinn appears to be out of the picture (permanently, I hope) and the blood-bond between Sookie and Eric is heating up. Nice.

I have to say that it was awesome having a new Sookie book, but I really wish I hadn't zipped through this in a couple of hours. On the other hand, I can always re-read it.

So, I'm in a mood today. I can't even pinpoint what it is that's put me in this mood. I just want to bury myself somewhere and let the world pass me by. But I didn't. I took Cole and Hailey to the park and to get our flu shots. Speaking of which, Cole was so dramatic when he got his shot. He didn't cry or anything but he was doing those big, deep breaths and afterward he kept telling me that his arm was really hurting. I'm sure it was hurting, but he was so pathetic about it that I couldn't help but, well, mock him a little.

There you have it. I'm grumpy and I read a book. Oh, Cole and I watched last night's TSCC. I liked it. Riley still looks like Claire/Tess.

I did not tell him to "man up". I turned his face away from the needle and told him it would be over before he knew it.
