This is how vacation should be ...
Book #62 - The Moving Finger by Agatha Christie - I wasn't as enamored of this one as I was of the other two. For one thing, Miss Marple didn't show up until page 144. This is out of 201 pages. Naturally, I assumed that a Miss Marple book would have, I don't know, MISS MARPLE in it. Still, it was a good read. Fast. Very fast. I started and finished this last night after I finished book #61. Anyway. The mystery itself was a little weaker than the others I've read, but it still kept me guessing.

-and-

Book #63 - The A.B.C. Murders by Agatha Christie - I wasn't expecting to finish this one today but it's hot (nearly 100F) and there wasn't much to do except lounge in the family room with the window AC on and read. Now, this one? I liked a lot. I liked how it was a BIG mystery (a serial killer) as opposed to a small mystery. Of course, I was thrown off track and had it all wrong. That happens often to me. *sigh* I think I may need to take a break from the mysteries for a day or so. We'll see, though. The rest of the week is supposed to be even hotter. Yuck.

On another note entirely, my mom and I had to take a Homebuyer's Education Class to qualify for the down payment assistance from the city of Morgan Hill. We were told in no uncertain terms that this was a 6 hour online class. Okay. I sat down today to get it started. About 45 minutes later I had my certificate. Okay. Now, I know that I'm a good test taker, but to finish a class in 1/6 of the estimated time? I'm really good. Yeah. I will say that a lot of the stuff that they covered is stuff that I'm required to know for my job. Good Faith Estimates, Fair and Responsible Lending, blah, blah. So I kinda had a jump on the source material. Hee.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for the rest of the evening. Maybe, read? :)

May I recommend Dead Man's Folly?

Also, there's this and this. Three guesses as to Deadly M's actual identity.

FYI, you can edit your comments. I mention this and yet hope that you never take advantage of it because then I can't mock you quite as loudly!
