I had nearly the whole day to myself. What did I do? I updated my profile with cuteness (I'd still like to add more), did a couple of loads of laundry, watched two movies (kid movies, both of 'em) and read. Tomorrow? I'm heading over to
jenahville's for a visit.
That said ... Book #47 - Club Dead by Charlaine Harris - 3rd in the Southern Vampire series.
...and ... Book #48 - Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris - 4th in the series and probably my favorite thus far. There's something about a big, strong vampire who's lost his memory and has to rely on our plucky, telepathic barmaid to get him out of the mess he's in. Come to think of it, my favorite book in Christine Feehan's Dark series features a very similar premise. Hmm. Who'd of known?
And, yes, I both started and finished both books today. They're just that good.
You know, now that I'm looking back on it, I've read the first 4 books in this series this week but I read the 6th as my 30th book for the year. According to my rules (Yes, I have rules regarding which books qualify as part of my books read for the year), even if I re-read it, I can't count it a second time. You know, since I've already counted it this year. I guess it's no big deal. I'll definitely hit the goal I've set for myself whether I count that book again or not.
Seriously, all this thinking is making my head big.
