Aaaannnnnnd ... book #11 (of 50) is now done. Kelley Armstrong's Broken. A competely awesome read that would have been even better if I hadn't been spoiled on a mid-sized plot point by a fucking review on Amazon. Dammit. Book spoilers suck. I can handle movie spoilers and TV spoilers mostly because I figure that if I'm going to read anything but the most generic recaps or reviews I kinda deserve to be spoiled. But books? Oh, those are on my list of VERY NAUGHTY THINGS THAT PEOPLE SHOULDN'T DO! It's one thing if you've already read the book and know what's going to happen. It's another when you read about it before you ever read it. You know what I mean?

Gah.

I'm done ranting now. *pokes evil book reviewers in the eye*

Have I mentioned today how very awesome [livejournal.com profile] earthwhatwere is? Now I have a real version of the Bones theme song. Thank you, Ginger, for the weird knowledge you carry around in your head and are willing to share.
I've also started a Bones playlist on my iPod. And it already has more songs than some of my older playlists. Hee! Playlists = fun.

Hailey and Cole were driving me crazy earlier. I was *thisclose* to locking myself in the bathroom just to get away from them. They've both calmed down at this point but ... geez. STOP PICKING ON EACH OTHER!!!! Seriously, the only reason I finished my book in a day (444 pages!) was because I was hiding in the living room from them while they beat each other to bloody pulps in the back of the house. What? It'll make them stronger. Or better. It's probably good for the soul. Or something.

I'm either going to pick out my next book or watch a movie. I just haven't decided yet.

Hi! That is awesome that you are doing that read 50 books in a year thing. I decided to do that too but I'm only on my 5th book. Finishing up your 11th book is crazycool! I have been wanting to read more and I saw this 50/year thing as a good way to do that. I am currently reading Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton. It looked very interesting and so far it is. Have you ever read any of her books?

Anyway. Sorry about the spoiler issue on the book though.

That's so cool that you have major LOVE for Bones. That show rocks and if you haven't read any of Kathy Reichs books - you should. I just finished one - Bare Bones - and I had a hard time putting it down.

I was looking at Kathy Reichs' books at Amazon. I'm seriously tempted. I'm actually trying for 100 books this year, but I don't want to scare myself so I'm doing it in imcrements of 50. Weird? Maybe. But it works for me.
LOVE your icon!
And, finally, yes, I have read all of the Anita Blake books. They get pretty darn sexy and I like it!

Well, I'm sticking to 50 books and I'm really working towards at least meeting that goal. If I go over that would be fantastic. I used to read so much more than I have in the past years and I've missed it. So, it's been nice doing this so far!

I am sending Bare Bones to [livejournal.com profile] jenahville to read and you are welcome to read it after her if you so desire. It was a great read.
