Book #18 - The Summoning (Darkest Powers #1) by Kelley Armstrong - It took me a while after starting the book to realize that Kelley Armstrong had based it in her Otherworld universe. I was already in serious like with the story and figuring that out just pumped it up to 11. Awesome! Chloe Saunders can see ghosts. Except she doesn't know that. After a screaming fit at her art school gets her sent away to secretive Lyle House, a home for mentally troubled kids, Chloe begins to figure out that the things she sees might not all be in her head. Yes, I've already ordered the 2nd book in the series. Book 3 comes out early next month and I'm already chafing at the bit to get to both of them. Love!

Second ...
I joined malkovich03 for some shopping today. We did our shopping and decided to go to lunch. Mal asked if there was any place in Morgan Hill where we could sit down and have a beer. I sent us the way of the El Toro Brewery. 2 hours and 2 snakebites (1/2 cider and 1/2 beer) later, we got home, I shipped Mal off to her loving husband and promptly curled up for a two hour nap. Best damn nap I've had in a while. Such a nice way to pass out in the middle of the day.

It did kind of throw me two wake up 2 hours later and see that it was getting dark already. Whoops. It's cool. It just means that I didn't manage to read anything today. oddmonster will be glad to hear that.

By the by, I've made tentative plans with my old work BFF to get together later this week. Another bar. I've already warned Mal that she might be driving me home that night. Whee!
