Book #38 - Hex and the City by Simon R. Green - John Taylor, professional finder of lost things, takes a case to find the origin of the Nightside. Bad things start happening. Quickly. The Authorities try to kill him (but then who doesn't try to kill him?) and the identity of his mother is finally revealed.
Book #39 - The Dark Flight Down by Marcus Sedgwick - The sequel to The Book of Dead Days ties up loose ends and gives Boy the identity he's been longing for.
Ooh! Someone ask me how tired I am of Cole waking me up at odd hours of the night to throw up on my floor! I'm pretty sure it's some sort of allergic reaction because he threw up 4 (FOUR!) times last night and then felt peachy-keen fine this morning. *sigh* He's all worried that he won't be able to go to school tomorrow because he won't feel well. I told him that we'd cross that bridge when we came to it. I'm also pretty sure that he will be going to school tomorrow. My tingly mom-sense tells me it will be so.
My hair looks good. I'm very pleased with it.
Time to get Cole into bed.
