Across this crooked land runs a crooked man ...

I haven't been online today. Wow. I think I logged on this morning (very, very briefly) and then wandered away to play pick-up-stix in my own little world. *shrug* One day away from the internet won't make my brain scream in denial and pain (because of the withdrawal, you know) so I'll ignore it and maybe it'll go away. What? It doesn't make sense? Yeah, it doesn't really make sense to me either.

I went to Best Buy* today. My credit card is quietly weeping in the corner because of the way I abused it. But I had things to buy. Cool things. Neat things. Things that make me smile. Too bad nothing I bought is for me.
*please note that I have finally broken down and added a 'best buy' tag.

I have a cool, new, animated (the first animated icon ever added to my user icons) Veronica Mars icon made by [livejournal.com profile] heather13. Mmmm ... pretty. Plus, Veronica and Logan sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Or, not kissing but cute arm punching. Whee!

I think I'll peruse my flist tomorrow. I'm feeling sassy tonight. Plus, I want to watch the second half of last night's The Triangle before I tape tonight's. Alternately, I'd like to watch Weevil and Logan beat the crap out of one another.

Oh, yeah. I woke up at 5:30 this morning. Like, ZING - I'm wide awake. It was weird.
Out.

I think my favorite parts are:
LIKES: Pop-Tarts, films about Pop-Tarts, girls who are mean to me, cussing, bitching, moaning, sleeping, drinking, pointing out the flaws of others, puppies, inside jokes, movies in which a loose-cannon cop plays by his own rules, caffeine, baby hippos, yellow cakes with chocolate frosting, the song "Do They Know It's Christmas?", seeing kids drop their ice cream, sexy dames and plenty of 'em, Maaatlock!, monkeys, doin' it right on the wrong side of town, sugared cereals, running with scissors, driving around, samples of Edie McClurg, waving at people i don't know, replacing parts of movie titles with the word "poo,", sandwiches, ancient Chinese piercing weapons, long walks on the beach, zingers (both the snack food and the snappy comeback), the moment the lights go down at the movies, laughing so hard you feel like you're going to throw up but you actually don't, petty grudges, midnight strolls through the 'hood, tight underwear (my own), people named "Dick", taunting the elderly, dancing naked in my front window and waving at the kids walking to school, talking shit, and your mom.

Yeah, I think that just about covers it.

On second thought, I think these are also my favorites:

DISLIKES: temperatures over 65 degrees, subdural hematomas, rules, people that chew open-mouthed, people who don’t consume caffeine in any form, stupid people who think they’re smart, mushy apples, alarm clocks, guilt, babies with pierced ears, canned pork and beans, the wet spot, swans, junkies, tailgaters, bunions, chicken-themed gifts, things involving tools and nails, paparazzi, waking up late, poor customer service, victimless crime, seeing dogs do their business, the sound of children crying, Old Navy commercials, terrorists, cauliflower, sweat pants in public, black licorice, people all up in my business, co-workers in general, psoriasis, people who are mean to animals, rock-star complexes, cucumbers, things that don't stay fixed after I fix them, people who come to my front door and ask if my parents are home, fake British accents, raisins, cleaning, cooking, most vegetables, movie trailers that tell you the whole story, laugh tracks, jock itch, people with emphesema, Hello Kitty merchandise, tequila hangovers, hastily planned golden showers, judges who can't take a joke, those damned radishes, tapeworms, mustard, blunt trauma, and The Man.

Okay, that really does it.

yeah me too. i really think it outlines who i am, without going into too much detail.

[identity profile] ebarnon.livejournal.com 2005-12-08 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
seriously, i HATE blunt traumas, like that itch on your back you just can't quite reach.

I stopped at Best Buy as well (maybe even the same one?) but didn't find what I wanted there (well, I did... but I knew I could find it cheaper on Amazon, so I didn't buy it). So in an out of character move for me, I didn't buy anything there... but at least I was able to get a bit of my Christmas shopping done elsewhere.

How is The Triangle? I meant to catch it, but completely forgot it was airing this soon. Though I'm sure it'll be repeated plenty of times, so I'll catch it then.

I swear that we're going to actually run into one another at these various places we frequent around SJ one day and not know what to do. I like to hang out in the horror/sci-fi section of the Best Buy on Almaden. I'm just sayin'.

I haven't watched the last part of Triangle yet, but the first two parts were very good. Very.good. Word.
