I'm craving some sort of caffeinated beverage. I think I have Coke in the garage, but I really want a Mountain Dew or Pepsi. Damn me for buying Coke. What was I thinking?
-pause for beverage-
Mmmm. Not as good as a Pepsi, but it still hits the spot!
I've watched through part 3 of The Stand. Seriously, I had forgotten how much fun I have watching it. I swear that I watched the scene where Larry's singing "Eve of Destruction" while Des Moines burns behind him about 6 times. "Can't you understand what I'm trying to say? Can't you feel the fear that I'm feeling today? If that button is pushed there'll be no running away. No one to save with the world in it's grave." He's purty. And Stu? Mmmm. Gary Sinise is freaking amazing. Always. Although he and Molly Ringwald don't quite seem right together. I'm not sure why, they just seem a little off. Not that it bothers me all that much. They're still one of my favorite couples in the story. Next to Larry and Lucy. Those two are so sweet. Too bad their story is one of the B stories. *sniffle*
Anyway. Watching The Stand has made me want to watch all those odd little movies that I watched way back when. Lifepod (think Alfred Hitchcock's Lifeboat in space! Which is actually better than it sounds. Really!), anything with Gary Sinise (he was brilliant in Apollo 13, as I'm sure we all know!) and ... umm ... umm ... I can't think of any other ones.
Well, it's been raining all day. Really raining. I think we got around 2 inches. This, of course, makes the bank veeeeeeerrrrrrrrry slow. For some reason people don't like to go out when it's raining. Go figure.
I'm out!
