Cole and I have been busy little bees today. Oh, he's feeling much better. Thank goodness! But before I get into all the fun (FUN!) stuff we've done this morning, I have to say that something I learned at work actually came in handy. Prioritizing. I'm standing in the kitchen wondering if I should wash the pan I just made scrambled eggs in now or later. My little mental debate is interrupted by Cole saying that he wanted chicken nuggets for breakfast. Shut up, people. It's after 11. He can have nuggets for breakfast if he wants to. Anyway. I realize that the laundry needs to be checked and the pan still needs to be washed. Yet Cole, the boy who hasn't eaten anything substantial in 2 days due to the stomach thing ripping through our family, wants to eat. Hmm ... check the laundry, wash the pan or get Cole something to eat? Which shall it be? At that precise moment that work training kicked in and I realized that the pan isn't going to wander off if it sits in the sink for a few minutes and the laundry will be just fine but Cole NEEDS TO EAT. So, I put the nuggets in the oven and walked out of the kitchen. Now, Cole still hasn't eaten (due to the cooking of the nuggets), the laundry still hasn't been checked, the pan has moved from one side of the sink to the other (because I had to wash my hands in the one side, not because of spontaneous wanderings) and I'm sitting here journalling. Dude! I rock!

So, what have Cole and I done this morning? you ask. Good question and not at all expected. First off, you should know that Cole's been begging me for extra chores so he can make some extra money and buy the Lego SW Clone Trooper Tank that's $90. He's about halfway there. I'm very proud of him and the way he can manipulate me into paying for things that he wants but doesn't need. Yes, that was me hanging my head in shame at the way Cole can so very easily talk me into things. Anyway. This morning we ...
Started a load of laundry (yes, the one that still hasn't been checked)
cleaned the inside of my car (windows and floors)
washed my car
cleaned the bath tub (don't ask)
unloaded the dishwasher
and now we're taking a little break. To eat and stuff. However, Cole just asked me when we can get back to work. Rock on!
Okay. I really do need to check the laundry now. I'm pretty sure I'll be back. I want to babble about BSG and the Stargates!
Later.
