I took a day off the computer yesterday because ... COLE'S HOME! It honestly amazes me how much we can get on each other's nerves sometimes yet how much we miss each other when we're apart. Anyway, he's going swimming up at my grandma's today with Amb. They'll have fun. While I work. Boogers. All of them.

Now the completely random and pretty pointless story ...
4 years ago my family and I went to Ireland. Cole did not come on this trip because he was only 2 and I didn't think he'd appreciate it. Not really the point of my story, though, so I'll move on. There was a guy from Boston on our tour and when he found out that we were from California he was asking us about our rolling blackouts. Does anyone remember the rolling blackouts? The media made a big deal out of them, but they barely affected us. So, the funniest thing about this trip is that the thing I totally, totally remember is this guy from Boston telling us that the news made it out like everybody in California was huddled around camp stoves eating beans out of a can. This cracked me up. Because that wasn't at all how it was.
Thus ends my pointless story.

I remember the rolling blackouts. It really wasn't that horrible thinking back to it.
