My baby's growing up!

Cole has officially graduated from Kindergarten. Awwwww. He was the only one who got an award in his class for doing really well in math. His teacher said that the level of math he's doing is nearly what they're doing at the end of 1st grade. Crazy.

The bad part of the day is that I think I got a tan on my shoulder. Dammit. I was trying to go tan line free in '05. Seriously, I avoided the sun the entire time I was in Hawaii. You'd think I'd be able to do it for the one day I've been outside since the beginning of the year. My nose is kinda burned also. Blah.

Let me think ... I finished off Firefly. *sniff* Beautiful show. I started Team America last night. Umm ... puppets freak me out. Mimes freak me out. Puppet mimes really freak me out. Still, it's funny and odd and really profane. I can't wait until I get to the puppet sex. Because stuff like that is funny. The next series of movies I hope to start is LotR. All extended, all the time. Yes, I have grand dreams.

I'm still trolling for Firefly icons, btw. Oh! Speaking of trolls ... Kim Harrison has two awesome books out based on an alternate reality world where non-humans live side-by-side with humans. Her world is so well written you'll be drawn in from the first. Dead Witch Walking and The Good, the Bad, and the Undead are the first two in her series and Every Which Way But Dead comes out June 28.

hey that's real cool of Cole! ahhh my memories of kindergarten, trying to climb under the fence to go play with the big kids (and of course getting caught halfway under the fence) and catapulting lincoln logs during nap time at my teacher (again, getting into a bit of trouble then also)
