I'm packed. I leave for San Francisco almost directly after the VM finale. And I'm packed! Yes. I came home at lunch to start a load of laundry and charge my iPod and make Cole's lunch for tomorrow. It totally made a difference. Now I'm just lounging around waiting until 9. Cole's at his dad's house, btw, so I shall watch in peace and quiet. How nice.
All thought has fled. I'll be back after Hawaii. Toodles.

So like, you guys? You know how this is like, the longest recaplet ever outside of American Idol? Well, you will in a minute. Keith has the local paper break the story about Koontz being with Cheyenne at the time of Lilly's murder, causing Team Casablancas some consternation. Also, Keith gets the DNA results back, tells Cliff he wants to sue the Kanes, and breaks up with Alicia, all before the opening credits. Duncan confronts his parents about their Lilly lies, and Jake tells him that Duncan killed Lilly in an epileptic fit. Wow, and here we thought the worst thing he did with a sister was incest. Beaver comes clean to Veronica that his first name is Cassidy. Also, at the time Lilly was killed, Logan wasn't actually with Dick and the Beav, but in Neptune. Veronica has a slightly stronger reaction to the second revelation. She tells Keith about it, and he's able to produce evidence that Logan must have seen Lilly the day she died. Weevil gets wind of Veronica's suspicions that Logan killed Lilly. Keith sues the Kanes over Celeste's failure to pay the reward for Duncan's recovery. She says she'll pay if Veronica will relinquish any claim to the Kane estate. Veronica signs the papers, and then Keith tells her he's her real father. They share a touching, tearful moment. Awwww. The Marses sic Officer Fuckface on Logan, which turns out well for him, when his arrest comes just in time to stop an attack from Weevil. Logan uses his one phone call on Veronica, prompting Fuckface to tell him that Veronica ratted him out. That's gonna leave a mark. Also, Fuckface tells Keith that Logan and Veronica are an item. Again, ouch. Logan confronts Veronica and tells her he saw Lilly at the car wash, and wrote her a note and left it in the car, which he claims exonerates him. Veronica realizes that if the letter exists, it'll be in Lilly's hidden vent, so she dons a disguise to infiltrate a fancy cocktail party at the Kanes. On the way, though, she discovers that her mom's drinking again. Well, if she's trying to get through the episode, I can't say I blame her. Veronica breaks into Lilly's room, only to be caught by Duncan. Veronica explains where she is in the investigation, and they check the vent together. There's no letter, but there are tapes of Lilly on the bed at Logan's pool house. They reveal that Lilly was sleeping with Haaron. Good call, a lot of people. Veronica goes to get the tapes to her dad, but before she does, she informs Duncan that they're not so much related. She tries to call Logan to give him his own peace of mind, but he doesn't answer, possibly because he's involved in a possible Lynn-like suicide, and also a confrontation with the bikers. And Veronica's in a confrontation of her own, since it turns out Haaron is hiding in her car. We get a nice PSA on seatbelts, as she crashes the car, sending Haaron flying into the front seat. Veronica regains consciousness first and ditches the tapes, but Haaron catches her and threatens to burn her alive if he doesn't return them. Keith tracks her phone, though, and despite Haaron's tae kwon do and psychosis, Keith gets the better of him and saves Veronica from her burning bed, albeit sustaining burns in the process. Haaron tries to escape, but is thwarted by the efforts of Backup 2.0 and a passing truck. He lives, but Jake Kane goes all psycho in his direction. Veronica doesn't have time to celebrate, as she kicks her mother out, and Alicia is waiting for Keith when he wakes up. Cool, except that Lianne takes the reward money with her. Worst. Mother. Ever. In the last scene, Lilly and Veronica have a lovely, if flowery, goodbye, and that's everything wrapped up in a neat little bow. Well, except for the fact that Veronica happily opens the door for an undisclosed person at the end. And we don't know if Logan lives or dies. But hey, other than that. As I predicted, this episode, while twisty and breathtaking, was very black-and-white in its resolution, which is a nice counterpoint to the grey of last episode. And thus concludes the amazing, amazing season. Buy those DVDs, everyone who didn't see it.
