I made this delicious ham and havarti sandwich for dinner tonight and it was a perfect blend of flavors. I grilled it without buttering the bread and it turned out toasty and slightly warm. I wasn't sure how it was going to work, but it was delish. Definitely a keeper recipe.
Anyway.
My most darling
oddmonster gave me 5 icons to talk about. So ...

This is one of the first icons I made. I had coaching from
jenahville and she did a great job guiding me. This is Maia from The 4400 as she's about to be taken. I love the reflection in her eye and desperately wanted to capture it. I think I did a pretty decent job.

Ha! The van from Lost! The one that barrels through the jungle to save the Losties in the nick of time! This is an icon that can be used to convey so many emotions. Joy! Excitement! WTF! Made by the lovely and talented
neversince.

Awwww. An X-Files icon! This is Mulder being super particular about his pencils. I like the thought of lining things up and getting them just so. It makes me smile when the ultimate rebel is doing it. Made by
kellslawells.

This is one of those fun icons. I very briefly used it as a default before settling on one a little more bookish. :) Made by
oxoniensis.

My beloved Rose from Doctor Who. I love this icon. The coloring, the cropping, the expression on her face. It's perfect. Plus, it's Rose. Made by
oxoniensis.
I also read another book today.
Book #28 - Pretties (Uglies Book 2) by Scott Westerfeld - During the first half of the book, I kept thinking that I liked the first book more and then all of a sudden the book exploded on me and I couldn't stop reading it. Tally gave herself up to become a Pretty to test the cure, only now she doesn't remember any of the plan. Figuring it out through the haze of Pretty-headedness isn't easy, but she does it and figures out some things along the way. I'm definitely interested in seeing where the next book goes. At some point I'm going to have to break down and buy it. Woot!
Cole was in a grumpy mood when he came home from school (he lost another football and I told him I wasn't buying him any more) and he announced that he wanted to watch Twilight. So we did. He seemed to enjoy it although I'm sure he'll deny with every breath.
On top of all this, I spent the morning updated all my web pages ...
The life of a(n almost-)writer
Ultimate Amazon Shopping - Blu-Ray
Ultimate Amazon Shopping - Music
Homemade Laundry Detergent
Go green with reusable lunchboxes
and creating a new one that links in with the reusable lunchboxes ...
Reusable snack and sandwich bags
I'm going to completely redo the homemade laundry detergent page at some point, but I have no idea what direction I want it to go in. *sigh* Back to brainstorming.
Well, that's enough from me tonight. I need to finish watching this new volcano movie since I have a bunch of movies lined up to record this weekend. Gotta clear out the DVR, you know. Later!
Anyway.
