Whoa. I've had a weirdly productive day. First off, I woke up at 3:45 this morning when Hailey wandered into my room and got in bed with me. Okay. Cole was sleeping on the floor, so we weren't overly crowded this time. Have you ever slept between two kids? Two hot kids? It's like sleeping next to a furnace. A sweaty, stinky furnace. Yuck. But that didn't happen today. However, it was quite early. So, around 4:45 I decided to get up. I mean, I'd been lying awake for an hour ... why not? Plus, I had an idea that I had to get down on paper before I lost it. So, I got up (wrote down my insanely wonderful idea) and took a shower. Hailey hadn't fallen back asleep when she came into my room so she took a shower after I did.
It's now the ridiculously early time of 5:30. Awesome. I went downstairs and made blueberry muffins for Cole and a smoothie for me. Hailey had her customary bowl of cheerios. That kid could live off of cheerios. Crazy. I got Cole up and made him eat before shipping him off to school. Afterward, Hailey watched TV while I piddled around on a couple of my pages.
Psst, I updated The life of a(n almost-)writer with my latest idea in my head. The one I had to get up and write down. Cool.
Anyway, after taking Hailey to school I had to take a nap. I put in my tried and true movie standby that makes me go to sleep so quickly your head would spin (the first disc of Fellowship of the Ring, if you must know. I'm always amazed when I can stay awake through it. And I LIKE that movie.) and immediately fell into a coma. I woke up 2 hours later. Awesome.
And that was my productive day. I did other stuff, but my play by play is starting to bore me a bit so I'll just skip ahead to that part where I put up Day 16 celebrating the 30 in 30 at
blabapalooza. Yay!
jenahville managed to get a review up also. And
bangaboomerang tells me that she has some reviews as well. It's a really rocking month for movie reviews! Check it out!
I did promise
iron_knife at one point that I would watch last night's Family Guy so we could discuss it in depth. I think it's about time to do that!
Later!
