Some things shouldn't be spoken of (but I'm still gonna do it!)

I had the worst lunch today. The.Worst. Imagine buying a delicious looking frozen lunch. There's rice, chicken, some sort of orange glaze, and vegetables. Mmm. Then you cook it. Now your frozen lunch resembles a soggy white mass of rice, chicken the consistency of tofu, exactly 2 (TWO!!!) shriveled vegetables, and some sort of carmelized sauce that's bonded on a molecular level to the box the lunch came in. Choosing to be positive about the experience you take a bite. Now, I want you to close your eyes and imagine the absolute worst tasting food you've ever put in your mouth. You didn't even have to actually eat it, just imagine the worst thing you've ever attempted to eat. Now, imagine that it's soggy. THAT was my lunch. I couldn't even swallow that bite. And let's face it, I can eat almost anything. So, I went to Togos and got a Reuben. Much better.

*shudder* Sorry, I still have flashbacks every once in a while. Anyway. The moral of this story is ... don't trust frozen lunches. They mostly suck. Mostly.

On the Cole front ... he lost another tooth at school today. Waaaah! When did my little boy start growing up so quickly? So, he lost a tooth and at dinner tonight he said that he hoped the tooth fairy gave him $20. Umm ... I hate to break it to you, dear, but mommy had to spend the only bill in her wallet that isn't a 1 to replace her craptastic lunch. So, he'll be getting $2. Just like last time. And I think I need to remember to take a few dollars out at work tomorrow.

Also, he did very well at school and daycare today after his no-frills weekend. Yay! No punching! Yay! No anything that would cause the teachers to call me at work and tell me what my little darling has done. Yay!

Okay. That's about it. If LJ would let me post any comments I'd respond to yesterday's post. K, [livejournal.com profile] malkovich03? Oh, yeah! I'd respond! lol
Bye!

Uh-oh. Looks like we found a clean spot.

I say we grease this rat-fuck-son of a bitch right now.

I say we take off - nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Never let it be said that I don't know my Aliens quotes.

LOL. Sorry for your sucky lunch. Frozen meals scare me. Especially the ones that contain meat or some kind of meat substance. :)

Yeah, it ... sucked. I hope to never experience the yuckiness of yesterday's lunch again. Yuck.

Holy shit $20 from the tooth fairy? My kids are going to be sorely disappointed then, because even if I do have a shiny new $20 bill in my wallet, I ain't spending it on a scraggly tooth. Hee.

Am not at all surprised about your sucky frozen meal...am scared of frozen meals that are not round and flat and...pizza.

ha! I ended up with exactly $4 in my wallet. So Cole got 2 bucks. I'm pretty sure that Mrs Tooth Fairy won't be giving out 20's any time in the near future.

I still can't believe how utterly horrible that lunch was. *gag*

at MOST i received $1 from the 'tooth fairy' (i put that in quotes cause i never believed in the tooth fairy or anything like that when i was a kid) now i understand that because of inflation and such and such the price of a tooth has raised a little bit, but i'm thinking the going rate should be 3 or 4 50cent pieces. not a $20. c'mon. if that is what i got as a kid i would have been yanking teeth out of my mouth every time i wanted to buy something.

never believed in the tooth fairy?? what about santa? the easter bunny? jesus? toonces the driving cat?

[identity profile] malkovich03.livejournal.com 2004-12-07 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
no, i never believed in any of that. my parents said they were so excited when they had me so they could talk about santa and the easter bunny. my mom grew up a jehovah's witness so she never celebrated those things as a kid. they were so upset that i never believed them. i just always knew that santa and tooth fairy and all that wasn't possible. i was a pretty serious kid. plus i would hate to have that moment where i found out that toonces wasn't actually real.

What can I say? Cole gets $2 for everything. Everything. He could offer to give me a kidney and I'd pay him $2 for it. Umm ... that's a little sad and disturbing. Strike that last thought.

actually i don't think you have to look very far for a kidney....CHECK THE PANTRY!!
