In a second. I'm not done with my show and tell.

I have good stuff and bad stuff here ...
The bad stuff (because it's less complicated to talk about): My iPod appears to be on it's last legs. *sigh* I can't even get the thing to load. It just keeps prompting me to visit the iPod support online. I did that and I still can't get it to work. Boo. I'm not sure if I can handle driving to work every day without my music. I love my music. It helps keep me sane.

The good stuff: My mom and I had our first walk-through. It was awesome. We got to actually see the house with the flooring installed. That rocked. We also have our final walk-through scheduled for next Friday. It looks like we'll be moving in some time the week after next. Yay!

The hardwood floors are gorgeous. The kitchen is twice the size of our current one. I really can't wait to get in there.

I dl-ed all the eps of Burn Notice last week and I'm watching the pilot now. This show is pretty good. I love some of Michael's expressions.

Okay. I'm done.

for your sanity, you should take your iPod to the apple store when you have a free moment. i think they can at least test it out for you.

I'd already decided to do that. It's just a matter of finding the time. *sigh*

A collection of actual quotes from various NBC announcers during the Summer Olympics:

1. Weight-lifting commentator: ‘This is Gregorieva from Bulgaria. I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing.’

2. Dressage commentator: ‘This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother.’

3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: ‘I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father.’

4. Boxing Analyst: ‘Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious.’

5. Softball announcer: ‘If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again.’

6. Basketball analyst: ‘He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn’t like it. In fact you can see it all over their faces.’

7. At the rowing medal ceremony: ‘Ah, isn’t that nice, the wife of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew.’

8. Soccer commentator: ‘Julian Dicks is everywhere. It’s like they’ve got eleven Dicks on the field.’

9. Tennis commentator: ‘One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them. Oh my God, what have I just said?'

There is a weird thought I start to think about whenever I hear about electronics failing, like your ipod.

What if I time traveled to an earlier time, bringing several electronic items with me for transitionary comfort.
Things like mp3 players and DVD players wouldn't last very long and I would be stuck with the entertainment choices of the time I was in.
It really makes me wonder about how fragile and disposable today's technology is.

And you did scare me about the good news and bad news. I was fearful the bad news was worse than mentioned, not to belittle the iPod. I knew you were getting a new home and didn't want any problems.

I am also a fan of "Burn Notice." I actually saw it during some down time at work on hulu.com. Been keeping up with it since.

lol! I was considering not replacing it (if it's truly dead) but I can't stand listening to the radio and I really, really want my music during my commute. Really. Really.

Burn Notice is surprisingly fun.

Over 5 years ago I got one of them mp3 capable CD players for my car. I adore the thing.
I absolutely abhor the radio, as well. I never took to hearing the same 10 songs over and over again with a sprinkle of inane commercials thrown into the mix.
So an mp3 player in the car is a MUST!

Absolutely.
I broke down and bought a new iPod today. I couldn't handle it anymore.
