Last chance ...

I will admit to being completely exhausted right now. Completely. I was almost *almost* going to skip journaling for a night, but then I remembered my vow to journal at least once a day through the end of the year. So, here I am. I may be incoherent, but I'm writing something. Dammit.

My awards ceremony was pretty darn cool. I got home about half an hour ago and then I had to run around making lunches for tomorrow and getting backpacks ready. You know, fun stuff. As far as the awards ceremony went, it's pretty neat when the head of finance spends 30 minutes talking to you about whatever and happens to say offhand that "your name keeps popping up in places". I, of course, wonder if it's in a good way. She assured me it was. Yay! My Regional President also told me that having me there just made the whole thing more fun. I'm going to counter that with "it must have been those cranberry and vodkas". Overall, it was a hoot.

Before I head off to bed (the exhaustion is close to claiming me), I want to bitch for a moment about a training class I have to take in OAKLAND next Tuesday. Gah! Oakland! The commute is going to blow! I might be running out to Best buy this weekend to buy a GPS unit. I hate how tense I get when I have to drive to places I've never been before. GPS!YAY! We'll see about that, though.

uh, about the GPS, are you wondering why you haven't received your birthday present yet? it's cause i was trying to do a birthday/christmas thing and get you something you could use, rather than a bunch of little somethings you probably wouldn't like as much. but i am waiting and waiting for this thing. don't buy it! you pretty much already own one.

Damn you. That's a completely awesome gift. Randomly, I finally got your b-day present that I ordered and it's nothing like a GPS but I think you'll get a kick out of it. :)
