I have been a busy little bee since my last journal. Besides starting a new book (short stories, this time. I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.), I managed to watch 4 (yes, FOUR!) movies. The Return (slightly formulaic, but still interesting), A Scanner Darkly (I wanted to like it but I was a little lot turned off by the drug references. Drug addiction just doesn't do it for me.), Pulse (LOVED it!), and The Dark (I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.).

If I might take a moment to babble about some very shallow and nonsensical things ...
The Return - Sarah Michelle Gellar was good. The guy she hooked up with (or whatever it was they did) was not good looking. That said, he was strangely hot. Dammit. It made me very confused.
A Scanner Darkly - Just no. I've recently decided that cartoon characters (whether or not they're based on real people) do NOT do it for me. So, no.
Pulse - Ian Somerhalder. Yes, BOONE ALERT! He's hot. He has that whole intense eye thing and the arms. Yum. He and Kristen Bell would have beautiful children together. Plus, he got to be a hacker-type guy. Double-nerd-hot!
The Dark - Sean Bean. What more do I have to say? H.O.T.

Needless to say, thus far this weekend has been full of wonderfully hot guys. Awesome!

[livejournal.com profile] kimbrchick and I are heading up to visit [livejournal.com profile] jenahville tomorrow. You want to know the super-sekrit fun part? We're not going to have any kids with us. Hee! Of course, I adore my son and love spending oodles of time with him, but it's nice to get away every once in a while. Also, Cole spent last night and all of today at his dad's. And tonight. I NEVER have this much time alone. Never.

I have no idea what I'm going to do next. Read? Maybe. Watch a movie? I'm not sure. I have all these things I could do and all this time to do it in. Cool.

That guy in The Return was really gross. I couldn't imagine him with SMG. Never in a million years.

Well, she was a little messed up in that movie ... no, you're right. He was gross.
