I have nothing but love for earthwhatwere! Anyone who's willing to feed a fandom addiction by both writing in said fandom and giving a poor sap (that'd be me!) the chance to catch up on the actual aired episodes truly, truly rocks.

The fam got roped into going to a birthday party this evening. In fact, we just got home from it. Oh, and by "fam" I don't just mean Cole and I ... I mean my mom, Heather, Hailey, Cole and I. The whole fam. And by "roped" I mean that we were told that if we couldn't make it tonight they'd be happy to change the date to a day we could be there. I sound like a huge bitch by complaining about this because someone thinks enough about us to coordinate the party around us, but it was an hour drive up and an hour drive home and I had to change my plans today to do this and I AM feeling a little bitchy about it.

*sigh*

We're home now. I guess I can't complain anymore.

I still love my music.

And finally (but not really), I'm woefully behind on my comments. All those hours I worked at the beginning of the week really screwed me up. I feel like I'm stealing time here and there to even check LJ, much less actually comment. So, to all those that commented, it's not you, it's me. I'm slow. And still a little bitchy.

And finally finally (this time for real, I think), I got my new ORANGE 2008 car registration sticker in the mail today. I must say that the DMV got this out to me mighty quickly. I just paid it last Sunday. Now, I'm going to let everyone in on my little OCD-i-ness ... I received my renewal notice on the 8th, got my car smogged on the 12th and paid on the 14th - all for my renewal that isn't due until March. Yes, I totally rock at life. The sticker will go on this weekend. I decree it.

In Indiana, the renewal notices for plates come in alphabetical order. I used to be in March with my maiden name; but now I'm in August with my married name.

Every other year (excluding the first 4 years for a new car) we have to go and have the exhaust emmissions checked. If they're below the standards that California sets down, we pass the smog check. If you don't pass, you have to get whatever's causing the bad exhaust fixed before you can get your registration stickers. Annoying in some ways, but with all the cars on the road here it makes a lot of sense.

Our renewal time is decided by when you originally purchase the car. I bought mine at the end of February/beginning of March in 2001. Therefore, my renewal comes up in March.

You are much more on the ball with your car registration than I am. I get mine in June and I think it will require a smog check and I hate having to do those things. I'm sure I will procrastinate.

so interestingly, a package came for you at my parents last week. uhh, i can't really go into detail about what happened when it was delivered. but...there were problems and a few deaths were involved.

but the package is safe. i had to store it in a secret location. i think it's cursed.

You are good about the tags but I usually am too if there isn't a smog check involved. I may or may not procrastinate about that. I had an incident years and years and years ago before the smog check places had to be legit and it ended up being a big bad orderal [and we're talking big] thus making smog checks very nervous. Still. But I'm not sure if I have to actually get mine smogged check or not this year. I recently changed my address for the dmv and have yet to see my renewal notice in the mail. My car renewal usually happens the end of the month of March. So, I am hoping to know if I do or not very soon.
