Good freaking GOD! It took me, like, 3 hours to write a couple hundred measly words. That's just wrong. And disturbing. How can I expect to make a living at this writing thing if I only eke out a couple hundred words a day?
However, on the plus side, I did manage to break that 40K plateau and write through most of the revelation scene that had been stumping me. Yay!
There's almost-kissing and almost-biting here, folks (Werewolves- what can I say except that they like a little bite with their loving). And the revelation. Now onto the aftermath of the revelation.
I have no idea what I'm going to try to write about tomorrow. More almost-kissing probably. Because now that they've taken that first plunge it's so hard to keep out of the water.

Book #139 - Eternal Hunter (Night Watch #1) by Cynthia Eden - Wow, so much better than some of the other books I've been reading lately. It was actually well fleshed out and had characters that weren't two dimensional. Nice. I guessed who the bad guy was well before the reveal but then I kept second guessing myself and thinking, no, that can't be right. Therefore I'm giving the mystery a thumbs up. The story: Erin has been hiding her true nature from the world for most of her life and for the last year she's been trying to hide herself away from a deranged stalker. Jude is a big, bad, bounty hunting shifter who is drawn to Erin from the first moment he lays eyes on her. Getting her to open up about the secrets she's carrying inside her is almost as hard as keeping her out of the grasp of her crazed admirer-er. There's good mythology in place and I'm interested in the next book.

Book #140 - Claiming Their Mate by Paige McKellan - A book about werelions, I wanted to like it more than I did. In truth there wasn't anything wrong with the story itself, but it ended so abruptly that I felt cheated. I kept thinking that there had to be a few more chapters that I missed somewhere. Another entry in the multiple-partners genre: as the oldest child of the ruling Leos of her Pride, Jules has to pick mates who will lead her Pride as well as her fathers did. The fact that she's drawn to Luke and Gabe Beckett doesn't mean she's ready to give up her freedom and mate with them. Except that exactly what happens. If brothers sharing a woman squick you, this might not be the book for you.

Book #141 - Rachel's Totem (Cougar Falls #1) by Marie Harte - Another in the multiple-partners genre, overall I liked it. Once again, we have brothers sharing a woman, although it was all for a good cause this time. Rachel is in Cougar Falls to hear her Aunt's will. She soon learns that the town is a hotbed of shapeshifter activity and she's the Guardian of the mystical power that keeps the town safe from human eyes. Throw in a sexy shapeshifting rancher and you have the recipe for hot cougar loving.

Book #142 - Even For Me by Taryn Blackthorne - Let's just say that there was a lot of potential here but it fell a little flat. Like, I get the feeling this is beginning of a much bigger story but it left so many dangling threads that it was confusing. Overall, without the next story to flesh things out, I'd say that you should give this one a pass. Tracking down a rogue shifter, Jackson finds himself in hot water when the witch he's contracted to bring the shifter to double crosses him and leaves him mystically bound to the shifter in question. Forcibly turned, Aislyn is struggling to control the urges of the cat that dwells inside her. To make matters worse, she's beginning to think she may be the serial killer terrorizing the city. I'd consider reading a sequel just to see if it cleared up any of the multitudes of questions this story left behind.
