I'm having another one of those days where I feel like I can take on the world. I don't know where this feeling is coming from but it's pretty darn cool.
I took Cole and 4 of his friends up to the pool after school. Those boys play damn hard. All jumping and dunking and pretend shooting one another. I, on the other hand, read and listened to music. Yep, I lead a hard life. A hard life, indeed.
So, I managed to finish a book ...
Book #58 - The Fallen (The Fallen #1) by Thomas E. Sniegoski - Part of me really liked this book and part of me was kinda wavering on it. Not because of the writing or anything but rather because it involves angels and the host of heaven. I have a slight problem with religion related things. You might be questioning why I bought a book with subject matter that I'm not keen on and the only thing I have to say is that I occasionally like to expand my horizons. So. On his 18th birthday, Aaron Corbet begins having strange things happen to him. He can understand any language, even those spoken by animals, and he's having horrifying dreams of slaughter and destruction. When a mysterious man tells him that he is a Nephilim, the child of a mortal and an angel, Aaron wants nothing more than to be a normal boy. Only that's not going to happen. With fanatical angels trying to kill him and power that he doesn't understand boiling within him, Aaron finds that those closest to him are now in danger as well.
My throat hurts.
I think I'm done now.
Later.
