I wasn't feeling well this morning (mostly I think because my arm/shoulder is still hurting from the Husky incident and it's making my neck stiff and I'm not sleeping well at night because of it) and I slept on and off and read. Which means that I finished another book ...
Book #10 - Devil's Bargain (Red Letter Days #1) by Rachel Caine - This was one of those little books that pop up by authors every once in a while. I liked it. The characters felt fully developed and the storyline popped. Jazz is an ex-cop who gets a startling proposition from a non-profit organization - take on a partner of their choosing and set up a private investigation office and they'll send cases her way. The catch is that if she or her partner receive a red envelope, that case becomes priority. Jazz takes the gig and finds herself drawn into a world of psychic foretelling vs free will. Is she one of the rare ones that decides her own destiny or is she just a pawn on the board?
I'm hoping to have part two of my multi-chapter epic done tomorrow. I think that means I'm going to have to haul ass on it tonight. *g* I love waiting until the last minute to get things done.
I'm out!
