soulswallo: (Stock-All these witchy things)

My morning was sort of thrown out of whack when my mom and I made the decision last night to buy a new TV for our family room. Sadly, our three year old, 50 inch beauty has died on us for the second time. It cost us $500 to get it fixed last time and a new TV costs around $1000. It just doesn't make sense to keep shelling out money on the thing. We're going a wee bit smaller this time (not by choice, but by cost) and getting a 47". However, we are switching from Plasma to LCD. And this new one will be an Energy Star. I'm pretty sure the old one wasn't. That should help with our electricity bills. Somewhat.

The point of all this is that my usual morning routine wasn't in the cards. This is the first time I've had a chance to sit down this morning. Of course, part of that is my obsessive need to put up more Halloween decorations. Just a few more. Things that Hailey and I didn't get put up over the weekend. I pretty much think I'm done at this point. I have to admit that I've never had all my Halloween decorations out at once and I'm slightly amazed at the sheer amount of stuff I own that's Halloween themed. Yikes!

I still plan on taking pics of my awesomely decorated house, BTW. Because everybody needs to see what I've been spending crazy amounts of time working on. Word!

Once again, the point is that I'm running a bit behind this AM. I had written two solid pages on my SPN fic by this time yesterday. Today? I haven't even picked it up yet. Plus, I want to get a [livejournal.com profile] blabapalooza review done. And Cole's coming home today. Apparently he's stuck at the Dallas airport at the moment because of thunderstorms. But he'll be home today! Yay!

Oh! Oh! Oh! I finished season 4 of Supernatural last night. Yay! Season 4 was so much fun to watch again. I had forgotten quite a bit, so it was nice to revisit it. It did seem to me that a lot of groundwork was laid for season 5. Lots of little things that were dropped here and there in innocent conversation that weren't fully addressed. I'm curious to find out if I'm right about any of it.

Time to get to the writing.
Later.
