I was gone all day today. I carted Hailey and I off to help my sister Amber set up her classroom for the new school year (OMG! Cole and Hailey start school on Tuesday!) this morning. The we went to lunch and back to A's house to hang out before I had to be at the airport to pick up my grandma. Dropped the G off and then I took Hailey to dance class. *sigh* I didn't get my nap in today. Well, that's not precisely true. I kinda, sorta slept when I got home at 6. I was watching TV and all of a sudden what I was watching was over and I don't remember a bit of it.

Oh, I left Cole home for the bulk of the day because he was heading over to the hospital to see his little sister. He says that she's very, very cute.

Anyway.
Book #69 - The Clue of the Rusty Key by Carolyn Keene - As I mentioned yesterday, this was a disappointing book. It was not well-written at all and the situations that sprung up to help the girls out of their predicaments were too ... easy. I think this is the only Dana Girls Mysteries that we own, so I won't be reading any more of these. The frustrating thing is that you can see how they're trying to write these like the Nancy Drew series, but it just falls flat. As an FYI, Carolyn Keene was the author of both the ND series and this series. However, Carolyn Keene is not a real person, but rather a pen name for a series of writers. Unfortunately, that means that I can't avoid this particular bad writing in the future if (and when) and decide to read a few more Nancy Drews. Sad.

I need to take my dog out for a walk.
Later!
