Wow. So, umm ... I'm not sure if you all remember that yesterday I posted about the fact that I finally got a library card and I picked up a few books and I was going to be reading ... yes? This is familiar? Good.

Book #42 - High Wire by Charles Ogden - The 5th in the Edgar & Ellen series finds those mischievous twins ferreting out some more clues about the mysterious Balm and the one they call Pet. Plus, the Family Heimertz descends upon Nod's Limbs with their circus and the twins might just decide to join them. It's kinda like when I tell Hailey that I'm running away to join the circus. Except there are more pranks. Because I'm not much on pulling pranks. A very good addition to the entire series. With clowns. Which I hate.

-and-

Book #43 - Deadly Offer (The Vampire's Promise 1) by Caroline B. Cooney - Uggh. Although some young adult books are very, very worth reading, this one was not. It was ... predictable? Not very complex? Boring? All of the above? Let's just say that I enjoyed Man-Thing off the Sci-Fi channel far more than I enjoyed this book. Which actually isn't saying much since that was a pretty decent bad movie, but whatever. Skip this entire series. In fact, skip any other books by this author since her writing was not the greatest.

I'm not a fan of giving bad book reviews. But I really didn't enjoy this book.

Cole's off camping with his dad. I saw Star Trek for the second time on a much bigger screen than the first and IT WAS JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND! ST wins at life! When I got home from the movies, Bailey was so so so so so excited to see me. It was sweet. Then Heather brought Hailey home after her dance class and Hailey was running a fever. Oops. It makes me feels bad that I was a little short tempered with her today. Poor kid, she has dance rehearsals every day in preparation for her recital on Saturday. Not the best time to not be feeling well.

Do I start another book or veg out with my bad movies? Bad movies? Okay!
I'm out!
