Book #119 - Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer - For those of you who have never heard of the boy genius Artemis Fowl, you're missing out. This is book 6 in the series and Artemis keeps getting more complex. In order to save his mother from a life-threatening disease (magically contracted and immune to any and all magical healings), Artemis travels back in time to steal a lemur from his younger self. What? People need to steal lemurs all the time to stop magical plagues. This wouldn't be a problem except that Artemis the Younger is still the ruthless criminal mastermind that we met in the earlier books who has not yet been tempered by his adventures with the fairy world. Moral code? What moral code? Yep, that's Artemis for you. There were a couple of plot points that are still making me scratch my head, but I'm pretty sure those will be addressed in the next book. Plus, there is that whole time-traveling paradox thing. Paradoxes! Crazy things!

I'm slightly amazed at how many books I've read this year. Last year I barely squeaked past 100. I've also tried mighty hard to not read too many books that I read last year. I did re-read the Sookie Stackhouse series, but that was kinda an imperative. I had to catch up on the series so I could read the newest book. What? It makes sense. To me.

Wow. That was a lot of book talk there. I'd talk about other things, but I'm totally behind on all my TV shows and I have no intention of catching up on them tonight. And who wants to talk about work on Friday night? Even when she has to work on Saturday? Not me! Thus, you get a lot of book talk.

That's enough out of me.
