It's been raining pretty steadily for the last 4 or 5 hours (I don't remember hearing the rain at all last night), but it looks to be tapering off for the moment. I think I might see blue sky. Err, no. It's just lighter gray.

So what have I been doing today? I had my hair done this morning and Cole hasn't been feeling well this afternoon so we've been lazing around. I've been reading. What a surprise.

Book #3 - Dancing With Werewolves: Delilah Street, Paranormal Investigator by Carole Nelson Douglas - You know those books were the author is so involved in their little world that they sometimes forget that not everyone has a direct line to their brain and probably won't get the bizarre in-jokes? That's how this book started. There were all these weird scene shifts and dangling thoughts and I wasn't sure what the hell the author was trying to get at. Then, everything came together. It just kinda worked. I went from wondering if I was going to be able to finish the book to hoping that Delilah and one of the semi-minor (in this book, but I see potential for him to become more) characters would just cast aside all pretenses and start boning like bunnies. Actually, it was less about the boning and more about how I wanted her to get extremely involved in trying to figure our what sort of paranormal creature he is. Then they can bone. I plan on reading any other books in this series because there were a lot of questions left unanswered and several more that I can see them revisiting.

So, I finished that one last night around 1-ish. Today, I read this one while having my hair highlighted. Hence ...

Book #4 - Through a Crimson Veil by Patti O'Shea - The 4th (I think) in the Crimson City series has two half-demons trying to thwart the bad demons' plans for TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION while screwing like jack rabbits. Okay, I threw that last part in. Although, there was a lot of that. Good series. I'm still enjoying it and plan on starting the next book soon (unless the new books I ordered arrive first).

I think I'm going to watch some movies now. I need to take a break from reading so that I don't completely burn myself out. I'm trying read a minimum of 10 books a month. That's totally do-able. As long as I don't take any 3 week hiatuses like last year.

No more book talk. I'm going to watch movies until Cole kicks me off the TV (he usually doesn't like watching scary movies with me. Go figure.).

Later.
