Trapped beneath the surface

My hand sorta-kinda feels better. If I don't move it. I can type with it today. That's good. As long as I'm careful not to use my pinky finger to hold down the shift key everything is a-okay! Ouch. Why do I attempt to hold down the shift key as soon as I say that I have to be careful not to? Dumb.

I watched another episode of Six Feet Under last night. That means I only have three more to go. Woot.

Supernatural was creepy good last night. Although I was rooting for ( aimless musings )

Time to work.

Reality strikes deep

I have had a strangely surreal day. Although it started off perkily enough it quickly fell into a downward spiral. The long and short of it is that my manager died. No, I'm not kidding. She died in her bed some time Monday night.

I've spent the day fielding phone calls from various and sundry bank personnel. I'm trying to figure out if I'm still going to get to take my vacation next week. I'm a little numb. I'm still trying to take in the fact that someone I spoke with just last week isn't anymore. I had the rather unenviable task of informing all the people who work at/near/with/etc the branch that she had died. I'm so tired right now.

I'm looking forward to my shows tonight. It will take my mind off things.
