I'm not sure if I'll have the time this morning to do this story justice. It's a Cole story. And it's really cute. However, I'm going to try.
I was talking to Cole about how I was going to find a new job this morning as I put his shoes on. He doesn't seem too perturbed or anything, so I ask him if he'd mind me not working at the bank anymore. He says, "Would you stay home and write books?" I say, "Well, I'd like to do that, but until I sell a book we wouldn't have enought money to live on. So, until that happens I'm going to find another job." He says, "Well, I could help you write a book." I say, "Would you draw the pictures?" He says, "Yes." Then he starts to get all excited and tells me how he's going to make the cover in the art area at his daycare, but he's not going to put any words on it because I'm going to do all the writing. I told him that if we sold a book that the two of us had made we'd both make lots of money. He was more excited about drawing in the art area.
But this got me thinking. I love to write, he loves to draw. If we did make a children's book it would be a mother/son collaboration. That would be so cool. And a good selling point. *sigh* Dreams can be such wonderful things.
Heh. Apparently I did have time to tell my story.
Ta.
