Cole's home! Cole's home! Yippee! He got home last night around 7. He immediately made a bee-line for the X-box so he could play the Star Wars game that
malkovich03 got me for my birthday. I had to cut him off after a bit because, dammit, I missed him and wanted to see him. As happy as I am to see him, we've had several battle of wills already regarding normal, everyday things that he doesn't want to do. Such as brushing his teeth and combing his hair. He had a five minute whine-a-thon this morning which resulted in the loss of the Star Wars game and the potential loss of the X-box (which he got to retain since he shaped up). Then, when we went to get our tree he told me he didn't want to wear a long sleeved shirt. Umm ...okay. I let him go out in just a t-shirt and he pratically froze to death because it was windy and cold on the Christmas tree lot. He spent the entire time we were picking out our tree huddled under my sweater with me. It's a good thing I wear long sweaters. Despite all that I'm terribly glad that he's home.
So, we have our tree up and decorated, but nothing else done. We'll decorate slowly throughout the week. Sometimes, my family can be very slow about things. :)
OMG! I almost forgot! Cole and I were watching Prisoner of Azkaban this afternoon and every other word out of his mouth was "why?"! He was driving me crazy. I'd explain something, like why Professor Trelawny was speaking in that weird voice while she was telling the future and two minutes later he'd ask why she had been speaking in that weird voice. Finally I told him that I was going to take a nap and he needed to either watch the movie or not, but he absolutely had to stop asking me the same questions over and over again. My little speech didn't slow him down in the slightest. He kept talking the entire time I was trying to nap. In fact, I'm not even sure if what I was doing could qualify as a nap because I don't think I actually slept at all.
*g* Don't let my rant fool you, I really love that little booger.
PS - Alien guy! Alien guy!
