Until you're resting here with me ...

I'm feeling a little meh today. I was sitting next to someone at my meeting on Wednesday who sounded (and felt, apparently) awful and now my throat hurts. I'm using the old home remedy of a Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks to cure the sore throat and it appears to be working nicely.

Cole and I have plans to see [livejournal.com profile] jenahville and her son tomorrow. I've been my usual lagging self and haven't got back to her on when we're going to be up or what sort of food we're interested in grubbing on. Sorry, Jenn. I'm a laggard. You should know that by now. Jenn, [livejournal.com profile] kimbrchick and I are also planning on seeing Underworld: Evolution next Friday and I've also been slow on helping make any sort of plans for that. This is an open invitation to anyone in the San Jose area, btw, who wants to tag along.

I have a confession to make ... I've sat down to watch Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow 3 times now and I still don't know how it ends. Cole and I keep getting about halfway through and then one or both of us fall asleep. Weird. Maybe one day I'll get to see the climactic ending. Maybe.

Another weird thing ... My shoes feel too big today. I think I shrunk last night.

SG-1, SGA, & BSG tonight! Whoo-hoo!

Alex and I are very excited about tomorrow. You should have seen his face this morning when he remembered. I have suggested to him that he and Cole work together on one of the Lego items he has and perhaps Laser Tag. However, if you wish to bring the XBox, I don't mind if Alex plays - for a determined amount of time. I have already told him that you may not bring it at all - so either way we are prepared. I HOPE.

As for the food - I freely admit that my finances are very tight. BUT I do have groceries. I think that between the two of us - we can figure something out that will work very nicely.

I am currently allowing myself $25.00 for our evening next week seeing UNDERWORLD. So we can plan on eating out. My mom is going to pick Alex up from his daycare, so once again, I will head down your way in the late afternoon.

Don't worry about calling me earlier in the evening...I think I'll probably call you during BSG [you know on the commercials!]
xoxo

no seriously. my dad took my sister to ride on the "freedom train". but, sadly, after about 10 minutes the got thrown off (no ticket!) cowboy-style, cuz it was determined they weren't black.

(i know what'll make you feel better...)

...and now a random fact about Chuck Norris:

Chuck Norris entered an arm wrestling tournament. After killing dozens of contenders, he was matched up against himself and subsequently ripped himself in half.

(what, that doesn't help? ok fine. how bout this)

...and now a random fact about Vin Diesel:

Vin Diesel is similar to a polar bear in that he can blend into his surroundings perfectly, making himself almost invisible to the casual observer. Unlike a polar bear, however, Vin Diesel only eats baby seals during religious holidays.

(what's that? not helping, you say? well i'll give it one last chance)

...and now a random fact about Mr. T:

Mr. T was born caesarian. Doctors had nothing to do with it.
