I have no urge to be anywhere near a computer right now. If I didn't have to use one for work, I'd be curled up in a corner somewhere far, far away from it.

That said, November's starting out to be a suck-o-rific as October was. Joy. At least as far as work is concerned. Let's see ... I almost burst into tears on the phone with my district manager this morning (in my defense I warned him that it might happen before I started talking to him) and I've had to practically beg one of my old managers to help me out. Yes, great day.

I think I may blow off my bet for the night and watch something ridiculous and mind-numbing.
Peace.

3. you wanna know what really got under my skin? that burned every fiber (you can never have too much) in my being? finding out george lucas did 'empire' at the age of 37. you wanna know what i did today? i sketched a diagram of the difference between boy fish and girl fish for a customer. (and before you ask, i did not use the word 'man-meat'...hell, or even 'boy-fish-meat')

Horrormeister Stephen King has joined forces with Marvel Comics to launch a new comic-book series adapted from King's The Dark Tower series of best-selling fantasy novels, Marvel announced. The comic series will mark the first time King has produced original content for an ongoing comic project.

The series will expand the saga of King's epic hero, Roland Deschain, whose quest to save the Dark Tower is captured in seven novels published over the course of 25 years. The comics will feature new stories that delve into the life and times of the young Roland, revealing the trials and conflicts that lead to the burden of destiny he must assume as a man, the last Gunslinger from a world that has moved on. The comics will supplement and define the saga's mythology under King's direction, Marvel said. The series will be illustrated by Eisner Award-winning artist Jae Lee.

The first Dark Tower issue is slated for release in April 2006, with a hard-cover collection of the first six issues due in the holiday season of that year.

No worries. I'm strong. I can handle it.
Thursday, November 3rd, 2005 07:39 pm (UTC)
I don't have any doubts that you can handle it. Still wish it wasn't being so rough for you right now. That is a lot of stress you don't necessarily want or need.

But on the brighter side - have you seen this?!
