Isn't it funny how I don't really do anything on the weekends (or during the week, come to think of it) but the moment I have an event (like my cousin's bridal shower) the weekend seems to be one non-stop party haven? Today we had a family dinner at the house. Which means that I had to be all sociable and stuff. Two days in a row of socializing. Terrible. Terrible. While the food was good (and the cherry pie was DELICIOUS), I feel like I ate too much and now I want to crawl into a dark cave and hibernate.

Therefore, I'm going to move onto the book part of our evening...
Book #50 - Caleb (The Shadow Wranglers #1) by Sarah McCarty - The good news on this book is that I bought it for $3 in the bargain bin at Borders. The bad news is that I can't quite figure out if I liked it or not. I mean, I liked parts of it but then there were things that would happen that didn't seem to connect to the scene before and it confused me. A confused reader is an unhappy reader. Yet I still want to read the next book in the series. And I think that's weird. *blink blink*
In My Mailbox (01/30/11) - A small haul this week on both free and purchased books but since I'm trying to make a dent in my TBR pile this is probably a good thing.

I've read a whopping 50 books this month. All I can say is that I needed something to focus on to keep my mind off the terrors of a new job. Reading managed to do just that. Yay! No, I'm not really terrified of my new job, I'm just having the new job jitters. It's because I over-think everything and my massively overactive imagination creates some really bizarre scenarios that will probably never happen. But now that my brain has thought of them I can't unthink them. Dammit. So I twitch and persevere. At least until Tuesday where I realize that the job isn't difficult and I'll do just fine.

Okay. I'm done now.
