I'm alone in the office today, tomorrow and Saturday. It's not a huge deal or anything except that I start going stir crazy with no one else to talk to after a while and end up glomming onto the poor souls who venture in here with questions. Yes, in a totally creepy and stalkeresque sort of way. It's always awesome when people back away from you with a scared look in their eyes.
Anyway. I have some bookish stuff to put up. I didn't have my templates done up for two of the books I read this morning (what? I have a lot of free time on my hands.) so those reviews are only up at Goodreads at the moment. I'm not sure if I'm going to post them on my book blog, to be honest, since they're both for short stories. On the other hand, one has Zombies in it and you know how I like my Zombies.
Book #279 - Zola's Pride (Southern Arcana #2.5) by Moira Rogers - Yet another well-written short story set in teh Southern Arcana universe. I love everything Moira Rogers puts out but the SA series is one of my favorites.
Book #280 - A Girl's Guide to Falling in Love with a Zombie (Girl's Guide #1) by Richard Denney - A highly amusing short story about a living girl who can't let her high school crush go after he gets zombiefied.
Book #281 - Graham by Brenna Lyons - This story was a little too short for what it was trying to do. There was too much info on the alien customs that we never got to really absorb before the gratuitous sexing began.
I'm meeting
malkovich03 for dinner tonight before heading over to the book signing. The book signing that I'm not going to freak out at. I promise.
I think I've covered all the basics. Back to staring at the walls and reading.
Wish me steampunky monsters and a cold cider!
