So, what kind of name is Rogue?

Soooo ... I watched Darkness last night. [livejournal.com profile] heather13 pretty much hit it on the head when she told me to be wary. Basically, the first 40-60 minutes were insanely disjointed. Random shot of rain on windshield. Random shot of Anna Paquin swimming. Random shot of black water coming out of the faucet. Random scene with the dad convulsing in the car while it rains. Random shot of guy standing in the rain outside the house. Also, everybody mumbles. Lena Olin? She's a world class mumbler. Seriously. "mumble, mumble, mumble tired." What? In fact, everyone mumbled so damn much that I had to put my subtitles on. I freaking HATE watching movies with subtitles. Mostly because I forget to watch the movie while I'm reading the subtitles. What? I'm dumb.

So, now we're approximately halfway through the movie. All of a sudden it gets scary. Like, I-shrieked-once-or-twice scary. Things crawling up the walls all twitchy-like. *shudder* Everything was cool from the halfway point on (I had to turn my light on because it was creeping me out) until the final MINUTE of the movie. That last minute blew chunks. It just threw up on my feet. I was all, yuck. Still, Anna Paquin was cute.

And ... now I'm tapped.

Christian Slater's alleged sexual assault victim is pursuing her legal action against the actor because he angrily ordered her not to press charges, instead of apologizing. The True Romance star was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly feeling the 52-year-old drug counselor's bottom, while intoxicated in Manhattan, New York. Slater was booked on two sexual misconduct charges and released from police custody. He's due to appear in court again on June 14. But the unnamed woman refuses to drop the charges, because she was disgusted by Slater's attitude after the assault. She tells America's Fox TV, "He didn't even say sorry. Instead, he said 'Drop it'. But nobody has the right to do this. That's why I'm pursuing it." But Slater is determined to fight the charges and plans to sue police who arrested him. The incident is not expected to effect Slater's current run in hit Broadway, New York play The Glass Menagerie.

I'm sorry. The Glass Menagerie? I'm just not seeing him in that.
