One of those lazy Sundays
Three months from yesterday my sister will be getting married. She's working like a little ... umm, insert some small, furry creature that works very hard ... maybe a beaver? ... ehh ... She's working hard to get things in place for the big day. I'd like to relate the story of the invitations ... it's a good one.
Amb and Phil decided to make the invitations themselves. They're saving money, blah, blah, blah. Anyway. They print up their invites and it's causing a big uproar because they put ... Amber and Phil would like to invite you to share in the joy of their ... you get the point. My grandma's throwing a fit because they didn't have them printed with my mom's name and Phil's mom's name on them ... Kristin and Jean would like to invite you. Ye, Gods! I say, let it go, Gram. It's Amb's wedding. If she/they want to put their own names on their invitations ... LET THEM!
On top of that, Amb realized that she doesn't have a current address for my dad. In fact, we haven't spoken to him since Christmas. So, it's more than likely that my dad won't even be at the wedding. I guess that's not such a big deal, but it seems kinda weird. Isn't that what dad's do? On the other hand, we haven't seen him since ... let me think ... October of 1999. That's 5 1/2 years. Cole was a blob of baby back then. Hailey wasn't even a twinkle in her mama's eye. Does he realize everything he's missing out on by not contacting us at all? Grrr.
Does the dad situation bother Amb? I have no idea. I just think it's weird. He knows she's getting married. Maybe it's time he makes the effort.

Annnnnnddddd ... I changed up the colors here. Maybe, just maybe, I'll even go so far as to customize this bad boy with a *gasp* layout. Not just boring colors. It's always a thought.
