Day 2 of the job. The lady I work with is trying to be super nice and not overwhelm me with a bunch of stuff all at once but I think I might need her to. I mean, I was ORGANIZING the office today. On my second day. I cleaned. I made copies. I put together some welcome packets. I only had to answer the phone 3 or 4 times. It's almost like they're paying me to do nothing.
Btw, when I met with her the first time (before I got the job) she told me to bring a book for the slow times. I brought my Kindle but I'm not quite comfortable enough with what I'm doing to lounge around and read yet. Instead I checked Twitter on my phone and played Sudoku. Because that's so much better.
If I need to delude myself that being paid to read on my first week on the job is doable, I can always pretend that people think my Kindle is a computer tablet like they used in Star Trek. What? It kinda looks like one.
Okay. Books.
Book #54 - Bitter Night (Horngate Witches #1) by Diana Pharaoh Francis - Another book in the urban fantasy genre that was fun and fast. It's currently free over at Pocket After Dark (until 2/14, I think). You have to read it on the computer, but it's totally doable. Heck, I did it.
Book #55 - The Bite of Silence (Biting Love #2.5) by Mary Hughes - Umm ... I think I would have understood what was going on a little better if I had read the first 2 books in the series.
Okay. I am done.
Later.
