I don't know where my brain is today but I almost forgot to journal. Not a huge deal, I know, but I might as well keep the streak alive until something comes up that I can't escape from.
Do you guys remember the project on Egypt that Cole had to do before Thanksgiving? Or maybe it was after Thanksgiving. I've started to block it from my memory, I guess. Anyway. He has another big group project due. This one's on China. Not all of China, mind you, just some teeny, tiny little city state that we could barely find any information on. In Egypt he was a pharaoh. This time he's a blacksmith. So how's he going to dress up for his presentation? I went out and bought him a black kitchen apron. One of the full length ones that goes over your head. It hangs down past his knees and looks like the leather aprons the blacksmiths used to wear. I'm kinda proud of thinking of it because it's perfect. There isn't all that much more to this story except that I didn't have to work my fingers to the bone on this project recreating the Giza plateau in modeling clay. Yay!
Okay. Books.
Book #31 - Shadowfever (Fever #5) by Karen Marie Moning - Fucking hell, this series was awesome and the final book was ... whoa. Fabulous and dark and heartbreaking. Everything I wanted from it and so much more.
Book #32 - Zombie Queen of Newbury High by Amanda Ashby - A fun, quick read about ZOMBIES!
Book #33 - Make Mine Midnight by Annmarie McKenna - I needed some light reading after the epicness of Shadowfever. This is what I ended up with: a hot threesome! Go figure.
Okay. I'm done.
Later.
