The search is on ...

I took a nap that lasted almost three hours today. Sure, it was shitty sleep, the type where you're not really asleep but that kinda in-between place where you're not awake either, but I still lounged in bed for three hours in the middle of the day. It seemed like every time I'd start to drift off something would happen to jerk me out of sleep. It sucked. Hard.

The moral of this story is that my nap was long and very unsatisfactory. Dammit.

When I finally dragged myself out of bed, Amb, Phil and the baby were visiting. We sat around and held the baby. What? It's a thing. I'm sure other families do that too. Just sit there? Holding the baby? Not so much doing anything else? Okay. Just my family, then.

I would like to announce that I have Twitter confirmation that I have successfully hooked kimbrchick on The Vampire Diaries. Sweet!

As a random aside, I have now officially watched all the episodes of True Blood in this marathon. I buckled down and watched the final episode of season 1 this morning. Marathon! Complete! Now I'm yearning for season 3. Soon. Soon. Soon.

Okay. I'm going to go finish my book.
