This hardly the place ...

You know, the weekend movies on SyFy (I STILL hate typing it that way. Plus, I say "siffy" in my head when I read it) weren't half bad. Of course, that means that they weren't half good either, but sometimes you have to take what you can get. The good part of the last one I watched was that Ian Somerhalder was in it. He may have been a dope on Lost, but he's delicious as Damon on The Vampire Diaries and the boy is just nice to look at. Those eyes. *swoon*

Anyway. The SyFy theme for the weekend was Disaster Movies. I really, really love those disaster movies. It doesn't matter how far-fetched they are ... no, sometimes it does matter. But if the acting is decent and the dialog doesn't make me cringe too badly, I'm on board. Plus, I get to see my cities in ruin. What is it about broken societies/cities/civilizations that makes me as giddy as a schoolgirl?

The nice thing about this set of movies is that I can actually review all of them if the inspiration strikes. Sometimes I don't pay close enough attention to them to be able to review them. Like I said, it was a good batch of movies. Well, a good/bad batch. A "so bad they're good" batch. A "Michael Trucco, Ian Somerhalder and Andrew Lee Potts made watching all the movies worth it" batch.

In the midst of all my movie watching today, I put a recap up at blabapalooza. I was totally on top of things.
And now I'm done with being on top.
