Wow. It was blazing hot earlier and all of a sudden the wind kicked up and now it's very, very pleasant out. And in, for that matter. Wind is my friend.
This morning (before it turned freakishly hot) I decided to replant this little rose bush we have on the patio. See, we have this nasty tomato plant that never looked quite right (possibly it was a serial killer or a carny) and I was sick of it and I pulled it out. Now we have this big empty pot and this poor little rose bush that needs to be repotted. Let's just say that the rose bush and I engaged in an epic battle for patio dominance and I'm pretty sure that the scratches on my arms and hands mean that I lost. You'd think the damn thing would be grateful to be getting a bigger home, but NO. It scratched and bit and clung with vigorous tenacity until I forced it in there.
Besides the Great Battle of the Patio this morning, I also redid my bulletin board. Now it has school stuff on it instead of summery stuff. Yay! Oh, there's also a menu for the Cupcake Shop (some days you need to know what's being offered) and a picture of Cole when he was a few months old with his big old bald head. Love! And a coupon for cheese. *nods* You never know when that might come in handy.
And that's what I did today.
Did you know that there's going to be a Scooby-Doo marathon on the Cartoon Network on Sunday? Some of the newer movies. I freely admit that I will totally be there. I like those meddling kids. I really do.
There you have it.
Later.
